Oliver was nervous, no beyond nervous. He was wearing a blue button-down shirt, dark blue jeans, and his nice concert shoes. He pulled into Alicia's driveway, parked his 1968 Dodge pickup truck, and walked up to the front door. Alicia's house what white with grey shingles, in the front lawn was a small bike and volleyball. Her house had a white picket fence that looked freshly painted too. Oliver walked up to the door and knocked twice before hearing the shuffle of feet nearing the door.
Her mother, Penny, answered and said "Hello, Oliver! Alicia will be right down, come on in make yourself at home!"
She yelled to Alicia that he was here and to hurry. Then he saw her escalating down the stairs. She looked beautiful. Alicia wore a short sleeve dress, a light teal color, and lacy. A very pretty lace. Her hair was up in a tight braided bun, he could tell she was wearing a little make-up, and she was carrying a pair of Converse sneakers.
He laughed under his breath as she laced up her sneakers. Alicia's father, Dean, suddenly enters the room. He spoke to Oliver.
" So, mister Thurhill, have her home at 11 O'Clock sharp."
"Ill have her home by 10:30." he replied.
"I like this boy." Mr. Penticost turned to Mrs. Penticost and said this.
Oliver then escorted Alicia out to his truck, opened the door, and held her hand as she got into the passenger side seat. Oliver then walked to the drivers side and turned the key.
The car stutters and died. He tried again this time the truck started after the stutter. Oliver backed out of the drive and they were on their way.
