Chapter 12

Val pov

I got in the middle of the floor and started the dance of my people and I got claps of delight. I flipped into tables and into the corner of the room in ten minutes. At the end a huge round of applause and many people standing up. I smiled and swept a loose price of hair behind my ear. then this elloth came up to me.

"I'm adeth, prince of midsad" he said to me.

"Hello, I am Lady Val of Rivendell"

"Rivendell? What brings you to mirkwood?"

"Buisness, now I must go,"

"Where are you off to, come on beautiful you just finished," he said grabbing my arm as I started to walk away.

I glared into his eyes and he looked mad but Legolas came over and adeth backed off and greeted the mirkwoodian prince.

I snuck my arm and looped it through his and he offered a hand to dance which I gladly took. he placed his hand on my hip and I put mine on his shoulder and we danced to the sweet music.

L- so, do you enjoy it here?
V- it's a great party, did you like the entertainment?
L- yeah, I didn't know you could dance that well.
V- there are a lot of things you don't know about me...wait are you saying I can't dance?

With those words I stepped on his right foot as my point. he laughed and we just stared at each other and he started to lean in when he backed away and looked embarrassed

After, he looked like he was about to ask me a question when a large explosion took place and we were thrown in different directions. I could barely see or hear and I remember looking for Legolas when two hands grabbed my arms and dragged me out.

I was taken outside and put on a horse and rode out of mirkwood and to a small camp just concealed on the outside of the borders. I blacked out and my knees buckled.

Legolas pov

I was going to kiss her! But I backed off then a huge explosion goes off and orcs stream in through the open doors and new found hole in the wall. I get up and reach for my daggers before realizing that I had left them in my chambers. then I realize that val is not next to me. I do a quick scan before seeing her being dragged away by orcs. I start toward them when something blunt hit me on the back of my head. the last thing I remember is being dragged and then my vision went black.

I slowly open my eyes and my head hurts. I take in my surroundings and I am in some sort of tent, tied to a wooden pole. I hear voices talking outside of my tent, and I would know Orc anywhere. I tried uniting the bonds when an Orc looked in a announced that I was awake. great.

Back at the castle
Guards pov

"Find them now!" The king said screaming after everyone left in fear.

"My lord, there are no tracks, no anything." tauriel replied

"I don't care! Everyone is on watch, scouts at every point gets doubled!" He ordered and everyone went to there positions.

Back at camp
Val pov

I wake up and I hurt all over and don't remember a thing until it all rushed back to my memory. the explosion, the dragging, and the orcs. Then my lest favorite person in the entire middle earth, King of Agmaur.

K- ah, so good of you to return.
V- yes, totally because I chose to come back.

I went to stand up and realized I was chained to huge rock to make sure I would not move.

V- great, thanks for the companion here to keep me in one place.
K- I won't have to keep you there long for I know you will agree to my terms.
V- In your dreams! Or do you have any?
K- no, but I do have someone to persuade you.

He walked out and motioned for orcs to come in and he made way for two orcs dragging elf with long, blonde hair and blue eyes. Legolas.

L- val whatever he says don't agree!
K- now, now princling, you see if she doesn't agree, you die.

He said with Legolas jaw in his hand.

K- so what will it be val? Will he live or die?
L- don't please. don't agree. I don't care about my life.
V- but I do!

I turned to the king to give him my final answer.

V- I will join you on two conditions. you have to let him go with no scouts and you will not go back on your promise. Then you have to give me a little time before you take him.
K- agreed. You get five minutes. TAKE HIM TO THE ENTRANCE OF THAT FORSAKEN FOREST!

I was unchained and the king stepped out of the tent. I then ran over and cupped his face in my hands.

"What are you doing?" He asked

"I'm saving you, it's only fair, right?" I replied while having tears start rising.

"No! I wouldn't care if my life was threatened! But you don't know what e will do to me!" He said raising his voice slightly.

"But I care! Besides, he wouldn't hurt me, he needs my magic."

"But you won't be the same,"

"Of course I will, I could never forget you," I said with a smile and I pecked him on the lips quickly and then the king came in, "take this to remember me,"

I took off my mothers necklace that was given to me and I clasped it around his neck. it had a picture of me and my family and I missed them so much. I would rather him have it.

"Times up!" He said and the orcs came in to take him away.

"Val! NO!" He said still struggling.

"Goodbye,"

"I will never stop saving you," were his last words before they took him away.

I saw him try and look back but the orcs shoved his head down. I looked at him and thought what have I done?
