Third POV

No matter how much Jake tried he couldn't get sunghoon out of his head. He looked so tired like badly tired. Sunghoon looked like he was going to drop to the floor any second. But that doesn't mean Jake would accept that he was worried for the latter even if he knew that, that was exactly what he was feeling.

Next Morning

As Jake was getting ready Sunghoon just popped up. 'He was coming back to school today' was the only thing Jake can think of. Although he's curious about the reason he didn't come, it wasn't his business and they aren't that close and to him there was still academic rivalry between them.

On the other hand while sunghoon got ready, he too couldn't think of anything else but getting back to school and seeing his friends and hanging out. And a bonus to everything was Jake, Jake was everywhere for him. He too was surprised by his behavior but what can he say, he definitely became a lot more confident at the sight of the latter.

They both were drafted towards each other. One with a sweet and confident manner and the other with rivalry and persistence. In Jake's eyes there was no compatibility between the two, and was too stubborn to just become friends with him after what he had called a competition to finally get his spot back as #1. He hated that he was like this but it was exactly like that.

Sunghoon, he doesn't need compatibility between the two. He just knows he wants to be near the other, he wants to be near his friends. Experience the typical school experience and not having to stay home all the time like before. He wasn't gonna go back to his old lifestyle that was set up for him.

At school (Jake's POV)

The hall was packed and there was a crowded group in the middle of the hallway so Sunghoon is definitely back. And I'm not wrong because the stand the four that has become part of our friend group just last month.

But it's not time to slack it's the last test of the series of tests he had been taking. After this he will be more at peace and will hopefully be able to spend his time peacefully with his two friends. He now has a lot more free time as he also no longer has to tutor Ruby and Sua. He also hasn't been asked to help with anything for the school. It just this last test and we're done.

This is the one I can feel it!!!! Jake you are going to ace it!!! You have to!!!! Yeah!!!

Third POV

"Jake"

"Jake"

"JAKE!!"

No response at all, Jake just handed his phone over to Jungwon so they can see for themselves.

It was the test results the teacher decided to send an email with their score only  with the ranking of students from their test scores.

Jungwon and Sunoo were concerned for their friend that all of a sudden froze completely with one glance at his phone. They took a look at the device and saw his test score, 95%. They scrolled to read the rest.

1. Park Sunghoon

2. Sim Jaeyun

3. Choi Taerim

So that's why. The two friends only looked at each other before turning to their other friend still in daze.

"Come on Jake don't let this shake you. You did really good." Jungwon tried to comport the older while patting his shoulder.

"We're sure it's tough but you did really well you're ranking is also good. You're still top 3" Sunoo continued and went to sit on the other side of the older.
