THIRD PERSON:
TW: description of sexual assault, finishes after italics
"Maya come on" Jack urges, backing her up into a wall
"No, I- I don't think I want to" she mutters, fear consuming every inch of her body
"But how will you no unless you try it?" he smiles, "Listen I won't do it if you really don't want me to, but I think we need it, I think it's all that can fix us, fix what we have" he persuades
He always did that, he guilt-tripped her into saying yes, made her feel as if it was her fault, it was as if he had been practising for years.
This wasn't the first time this had happened.
Maya would say that she didn't really want him to touch her, but he would start telling her that their relationship was riding on it and that if she wanted to please him then she would need to put up with it, but this was the first time he didn't listen to the word no.
What is so hard about it?
No.
A two-letter word meaning a person disagreed, refused, or simply wasn't allowing an action. Maya had said no before and he backed off, all be it not fully, but he had never heard the word no and done it anyway.
Until now.
"I don't think I'm right for you, you can try and find someone else" Maya says gently, not wanting to anger him
"We are meant to be maya!" he says harshly, not matching the words coming out of his mouth, "You are mine; I love you and this is what you do with people you love" he says in a lower voice, his face inches from hers, towering over her
"But I don't want-," she starts before being cut off with a harsh smack to the face
"I don't care what you want! We are doing this!" he growls, his hands grasping onto her shoulders
"No s- stop, please" she whimpers, him forcefully moving her around the room, pushing her back onto the bed
"Stay still!" he demands, moving so he's standing at the end of the bed, towering above her
"N- no I said no" maya pleads, tears streaming down her face as she watches the man who was supposed to be her knight in shining armour, completely strip her of her dignity
She laid there the entire time, completely mortified, knowing she had no way of overpowering him, no way of getting him to stop, she had to lie there feeling every muscle in her body hurt.
He was rough. He didn't care what she felt, he didn't care how much pain she was in, if he took what he wanted that was all that mattered. She never forgot the pain she felt that night. Most of the time you forget how much something hurts until you feel it again, but she never forgot it, she would physically feel it when it wasn't happening.
She would feel his nails digging into her thighs, the grip he had around her throat, the burning she put up with for days afterwards, she could still feel it all.
"Maya, come on wake up" Carina pleads, Maya's body finally shooting up, her hands coming up to claw at her throat as if she was trying to pull something off her
"Hey, it's ok," she says softly, sitting up with her, listening to her breaths getting caught in her throat, "Come on, don't do that" she mutters, pulling her hands away from her throat and holding them in her own so she couldn't hurt herself
