8 years have passed and little shay is now eight and about to grade 4 she was a grade ahead and kelly and Stella were super proud, she was going to the same school as Cruz's oldest son Javi and also the middle child brian who was ten and their daughter Maya who was shays age and was in the same class as shay, and a senior in high school. Shay has always wanted to work in the CFD after all the stories Stella and kelly had told her and she was also into chemistry at a young age and Stella saw potential in her and brought her to the firehouse often. Shay has grown up to look a lot like Stella and the only feature she had of kelly was his blue eyes. 12 more years have passed and shay is now 22 and fresh out of the academy and about to start at 51 where both her mom and dad have worked and was so excited to work where her parents used to. As she walked into the firehouse she took her dad's old locker and kept the original tag on it because it said service and she didn't wanna make a new one because it had meaning. within the first few days, shay had done an excellent job and had made so many new friends at 51 and called 51 her second home
