Chapter 7

---

Several months later (AKA season 3)

---

Rick kicks the door down in a violent matter, Daryl and Glenn followed after him. They stayed in formation and cleared the house of walkers. I helped Lori make her way into the house, she was far along in her pregnancy and I planned on doing everything I could to help.

Beth and Maggie brought the stuff in while Carl was opening a can of dog food, please tell me he wasn't going to eat that. Rick watched him skeptically, when he saw Carl pick up a spoon, he grabbed the can and threw it forcefully out of the window.

The hungry moans came from the south end of the house, we all seemed to understand Ricks worried look. We all hurriedly picked up are stuff and hurried outside to where the cars sat.

I gripped my knife and slashed a walker on the top of his head, the sound sent chills down my spine.

I ran up to Daryl's bike and jumped on, he felt my weight behind him and allowed the engine to roar to life. We followed the row of cars.

We stopped a few miles ahead. "She can't take it much longer, we need to settle down somewhere" Rick said glancing at Lori who sat in the truck.

We all agreed and loaded up again. We drove for several hours until we came across Atlanta State prison, despite the walkers that roamed within the gates, it was perfect, it was I closed in metal fences and cement walls.

"It's perfect" Glenn said in a hushed tone.

Rick handed out guns and gave me instructions to distract as many walkers as we could, Lori, Beth, Carol and I all stayed in the fenced walk way, I used the pocket knife Daryl had given me and cut a small slit in my palm, the blood instantly seeped threw the wound, I smeared the crimson blood along the metal fence.

This drove the walkers crazy, many of them came stumbling over the the fence where Carol was driving a metal pole threw the rotting skulls. Lori was doing her best to use the small pistol in her pregnant state and Beth was also using a handgun.

In about ten minute the rest of the group had cleared the court yard of walkers. I opened the corridors gates and jogged into the court yard, I drooped our stuff in a area with no dead bodies and ran over to Daryl. I'm not really sure of our status but whatever it is, it's more than friends.

I jumped up and wrapped my arms around Daryl's neck and locking my legs around his waist, his hands held under my bum and held me up.

"Daryl it's so perfect! We can finally stop moving around, Lori can have her baby and we can all be happy." I said excitedly, maybe I was overestimating the potential of this place, but I was exited.

"Welcome home sweetheart" he said smiling brightly at me, Glenn had pointed out early this weak that Daryl was usually at his happiest around me.
