Chapter 9
----
I watched as Rick led, Maggie, Glenn, Carol, T Dog and Daryl away into the courtyard filled with walkers, Daryl gave me one last glance before I slid the fence closed. I was making sure that Beth, Lori, Hershel and Carl stayed safe. I insisted in doing more but Daryl had a fit and forced me to stay safely behind the fence.
watching Daryl shoot walkers kind of scared me, he was capable of doing that to something that was once human, I suppose that he had to. after all, the weak get taken.
I watched as everyone held there weapons ready, as if they were waiting for something big.
They disappeared into the cellblock, and. Found myself worrying.
After ten minutes I opened the fence and led the others into the cellblock, I held my handgun ready before I turned the corner to find the rest of the group claiming cells as there own. Daryl was setting up in the look out that was in the cafeteria. It seemed like he didn't want to have anyone staying with him, so I spared him any questions. I walked myself down the hallway and peaked in the end cellblock.
A hand placed itself on my shoulder and I spun around pointing my gun straight at the forehead like Daryl had said to do. But I wasn't faced with a walker, instead it was Daryl.
"What the hell are you doing?" He asked me, a slight smirk on his face.
"Setting up my room" I said in a 'obviously' tone.
"No your not, come on your with me" he said.
"That's not needed" I said quickly, I want completely defenceless.
"Look, either I come here or you go there" he said firmly.
"Fine!" I said grumpily. I hiked my bag of my shoulder and walked ahead of him. He grabbed my hand and pulled my around to face him, his hand rested itself comfortably on my cheek and his lips came crashing to mine, his lips were slightly cracked and his touch was rough, but I liked it.
After what didn't seem like much time, he pulled away.
"Piper, I need you, please be with me." He said in a voice above a whisper.
My heart slammed against my chest and tears build up in my tear ducks. I nodded rapidly, " "Daryl I've always needed you." I said wrapping my arms around his neck, his arms instinctively found my waist and he gripped me close.
