When I look into your eyes
I see your darkness
Lurking beneath the surface
I see your soul
The pain you try to hide.
The memories in your mind
I see this all
All this, I see it in your eyes
That is why
I don't look too close
To try not to see
What you don't want me to
Even though I still see
If I decide to look close enough,Deep into your eyes
Deep into your soul.As it is the same
The eyes,Mirrors to your soul
In which you try to hide behind.
But you can't
Because I see you.+++
I made this for someone I was talking to, at the time. He was a part-time muse. I never told him exactly that he was the inspiration for it. I didn't even share it with him. I was almost embarrassed so that's why. It was weird for me to make a poem for someone so I didn't want to tell him about it. We don't speak anymore and I'm sad but life goes on, regardless.
