Sitting in a meadow, sweet
Smelling the flowers,
In the slight breeze
Sweet flowers
In a meadowy wonderFeeling the petals, soft
With the scents all around
Watching the sunset,
In its colours galore
With soft colours in the setting skyFeeling the mud of the flat surface
In between your wiggling toes
Drawing your name in its soft matter
Setting permanence in its midst
Your toes nestled in earth's fine dustA warm presence beside you
You feel content
Hands, fingers intertwined
Like knitted cloth or string...
Holding on to each other"Don't let me go,"
They whispered to you in your ear;
Head nestled on your shoulder
Clutching your palm a bit, tighter.
Your promise not to,
Sealed with a kiss.Everything feels like bliss
You were always waiting for this
Finally, it happened
After all this time had passed
Because of being in the Sunset Meadow

aruma - naked thoughts
PoetrySometimes, written words are a way to release thoughts that you'd never have the courage to say out loud to others. Real and true poetry. These are free-verse because, sometimes, feelings are so raw that they're not meant to rhyme, and that's okay!
