Queen Raya’s ships docked in Egypt after 6 months. She was amazed by the pyramid mega structure in their country. She wondered how they built those massive pyramids and what was their purpose of building it. She wanted to speak to the ruler of their country. Her main problem was that she didn’t know how to speak their language and none of her warriors also knew their language. She asked her warriors to find anyone who could speak their language and who could bring them to their king. She was willing to pay anyone who would serve as their translator and tourist guide.
“My Queen.” Dondon approached Queen Raya.
“Yes, Dondon.”
“We just found a slave trader who can speak our language.”
“Great! Bring him to me!”
“Can you speak our language?” Queen Raya asked the slave trader in Visayan language.
“Yes, madam.” The slave trader answered in Visayan language.
Queen Raya was amazed.
“What is your name?”
“My name is Ahmad.”
“Nice to meet you, Ahmad. My name is Queen Raya from the land of Maharlika. Tell me, who is your king?” Queen Raya continued to interrogate the slave trader in Visayan language.
“We don’t call our ruler as king. We call him pharaoh. The name of our pharaoh is Rama.”
“Can you bring us to him?”
“Of course. I also go to the palace every now and then to bring a slave or a concubine to the pharaoh.”
“We will pay you 10 talents of gold monthly for your service.”
“I am more than happy to serve you, my queen.” The slave trader bowed before Queen Raya.
“Bring us to your Pharaoh now. Tell him that we will give him a gift if he will tell us all the knowledge of your technology.”
“If the Pharaoh will ask us what we have brought for him, what are we going to give him?”
“Tell him that we will give him 100 talents of gold and precious stones if he will give us the information that we need.”
“I will bring you to my pharaoh now.”
Queen Raya bought a camel and rode on it while the rest of her warriors were travelling by foot. She also bought 100 camels with carriage for every 2 warriors to carry their treasures. She chose 200 of her best warriors to accompany her inside the pharaoh’s palace. She commanded the rest of the 50 warriors to watch over their goods in the ship.
“Here we are. Welcome to the pharaoh’s palace. I will ask permission to the guards first to let us in.” Ahmad announced their arrival outside the palace gates.
“Just do whatever you need to do.”
“Just a heads up, I will try to talk to the guards first to let us in but if in case they will refuse to admit us, we might need to bribe them a little.”
“Not a problem.”
“The queen of Maharlika would like to speak to the pharaoh.”
“What do they want from the pharaoh?”
“They wanted to give him gifts in exchange of knowledge.”
“What sort of gifts are they going to give?”
