Queen Raya was annoyed to the deafening sound of the drums. She saw people dancing on the street while holding the Sto. Niño. Their dance moves were two steps forward and one step backward as the dancer sways to a distinct rhythm of drums. They’re moving gracefully like the Pahina River.

Queen Raya was disgusted with their dance ritual that commemorated their acceptance of Roman Catholicism. All the giants that survived also joined the parade.

‘I used to wonder why they are parading giant statues during the Sinulog Festival. I thought that they were just for entertainment purposes only. I never thought that there was a history behind it. Maybe they did not continue the festival. They only celebrated once and then they did not continue the festival.' Rianna thought.
