Miguel Lopez bent down from the excruciating pain. He tried so hard not to fall down. He held his bleeding waist with his right hand and held his sword firmly with his left hand. He refused to fall down in the hands of the ignorant and tonto natives. He had travelled so many places in search of spice and gold. He had encountered different types of people big and small. He even encountered a group of giants. The first time he saw a giant was when their ship landed in the shore of Afghanistan. They needed to dock their ships due to the storm. His group of men saw a naked giant dancing like a child under the moonlight. He was singing joyously while drinking from a wooden tankard. They were so scared so they hide under a massive rock. They were so afraid that he might eat them or crush them with his big foot. They stayed in the same place the whole night while waiting for the storm to subside. They couldn't hardly sleep for fear that the giants might see them and crush them in one single blow. The rain stopped when morning came. They crawled on the sand surreptitiously to avoid being seen by the giants. Their ship was just near the shore but it seemed like it was miles away. They stopped abruptly when they heard a loud giggle. They looked around to see where the loud giggle came from but they couldn't find anyone. The giggle was so loud and clear as if it came from a nearby giant. They crouched from fear. They wanted to bury themselves under the sand until they could no longer hear any giant around. When the giggling stopped, they started to crawl again. Every time they started to crawl, the giggling would start again. They couldn't hardly move an inch. It was as if the giant was playing with them. They kept on looking around to see if there is any giant lurking around but they were not able to see anyone. Fear started to creep through their veins making the hairs on the nape of their necks to stand up. They wondered if there was such thing as invisible giants. They remained crouch on the sand for what seemed like an eternity. They wanted to crawl under the sand until they would reach their ships.
"We have to go back to our ships no matter what!" Miguel Lopez exhorted his crew.
"It is either we die from thirst, heat, and hunger on this desert or we will die fighting until we will reach the land of gold! You choose where do you want to stand!""We will fight until we will reach the land of gold! Massimo responded. Massimo was Miguel Lopez' history recorder. He was the one who kept a record in almost all the things that happened during their journey.
Massimo came from Sicily, Italy. He used to be Pope Alexander VI secretary but the pope gave him to Miguel Lopez as his history recorder.
So they continued crawling and ignored the giant's giggle. The giant never stopped giggling as they continued crawling towards their ships. As they came nearer to their ships, the giant's giggle became louder and louder. The giant's giggle was so loud, it almost made their ear drums split. They slid down a sandy slope and fell on a tangle of a long red curly hair. They tried to break free around its tangled hair. They felt like they were traversing in a forest of red hair. They realized that the reason why the giant giggled whenever they crawled was because they were crawling on its body. They broke themselves free from the tangles by cutting the giant's hair using their swords. They climbed to their ships as fast as they could. They wanted to get out from the Land of the Giants as fast as they could.
"Help! Anyone! Please help me!" The red-haired giant pleaded.
Miguel Lopez signaled his men to stay still.
"Please I'm begging you. If you will help me, I'll give you everything you need!"
"Who are you? Why can't we see you? " Miguel asked.
"You didn't only see me. You and your men are walking on my body."
"How sure are we that you're not going to eat us once we will help you?"
