Queen Raya didn’t protest when Felipe lead her. She was not being used to being lead by someone else. As a queen, she was always the one who’s in charge. But now, she found her perfect match, an alpha male who was in control. She felt so weak in his arms. She couldn’t protest. She felt so weak under his male dominance. It was the first time in her entire life that she allowed someone to be in charge with her.

“Where are you going to take me?”

“I’ll take you to a place that you’ve never been to.”

“I was born and raised in this island. I don’t think that there is a place in this island that I’ve never been to.”

“Well, maybe you have travelled this entire island during the day but I don’t think that you have already seen its beauty at night.”

“Well, let’s see. I can’t wait for your surprise.”

Felipe put Queen Raya down from his stallion when they arrived in Lake Danao. He lead her to the boat at the side of the lake. He rowed the boat towards the island in the middle of the lake. She felt the cold breeze underneath her skin. She looked at his back. She tried to fight the urge to hug his back. They finally arrived in the island in the middle of Lake Danao. They were surrounded with fireflies.

Queen Raya was amazed with the beauty around her. Felipe was right. She had travelled the whole island by day but never at night. She didn’t realize that her island was more stunning during the night.

“How is it, my queen?”

“I’ve been to this place many times before but never at night. I never thought how beautiful this place is at night. You are right! Thank you for showing me the hidden beauty of my kingdom.”

“The pleasure is mine, my queen!”

Queen Raya looked around her. She felt like a fairy surrounded by fireflies. She was so happy that she temporarily forgot about her heartache.

“Have you ever done anything crazy in your life before?”

“The craziest thing I’ve ever done so far is travelling the world and fighting with the giants.”

“How about swimming in the lake in the middle of the night?”

Queen Raya loved the idea. She took off her white gown leaving the undergarments on. She held on to a tree branch, swung herself, and jumped onto the lake. She felt like a child swimming into the warm lake. Felipe dove into the lake and followed his queen.

Queen Raya splashed water on Felipe. He tried to cover himself from her water attack with his hands. They were both laughing.

“The night is still young, my queen!”

“Let’s morning the night!”

They continued swimming and splashing water every once in a while onto each other. It was apparent that they were enjoying each other’s company. They stayed in Lake Danao for a couple of hours.

“Let’s call it a night.” Queen Raya said.

“Yes, my queen.”

“Let’s go back to the palace now before anyone will notice our absence and tear the palace upside down looking for us.”

“I am also thinking the same thing.”

While Queen Raya was walking towards the island in the middle of the lake, she stepped on a slimy stone causing her to lose her balance. Felipe caught her on time before she fell onto the water. They locked eyes on each other and without saying anything, he kissed her lips. She didn’t protest at all and she completely surrendered into his loving embrace. They kissed under the moon and the stars with fireflies dancing around them. It was her very first kiss. At the age of 30, she finally had her first kiss. She felt so good about it. She had been in Lake Danao many times before but she never thought that the place was so romantic especially at night.
