"Does it work?"

Joon-yeong placed a piece of paper on the device that a call for help was written.

"It will, I mean the drone chimes already."

"Ooh~" Dae-su cheered in amusement when Joon-yeong started the drone.

It was really a good thing to have someone smart in the group, isn't it? While I'm only for moral support. I chuckled.

"What?" Su-hyeok bumped his shoulder on mine.

"You heard?" I asked looking up at him, his tall eh.

"Of course, we did," I swear I saw him smile! Is he preventing to do so?

I just put my attention back to the drone so they'll do the same. We duck down when the drone came speeding as if it was a jet.

"Holy crap. That thing's crazy fast."

"The heck."

"I'll take it outside after I find Cheong-san. If I find any rescuers out there, I'll land in front of them," then Joon-yeong moved the controller and as it was about to reach the window Nam-ra tells something—

"They say when people know their situation is hopeless, that's when they despair."

"Sweet saying but what does it mean?" Dae-su stated,

"Even if everyone in the world but us turned into zombies, we can't fall in to despair." our class president explained.

"Nam-ra. It's best to make a plan and try to stick to it, but we're not all top students and we can't be as smart as you. Being logical isn't part of human nature."

"In crisis, it's best to be logical," Nam-ra argued back.

"We need hope more than logic. Don't you think that's best right now?"

"But isn't what Nam-ra said conveys hope and that it was just in a logical manner? Well you both are right," I shrugged, silently.

"It's good to see that you work hard with wisdom to survive, but I hope this don't go far with or from arguing. It's not the best choice," Ms. Park smiled, not just referring to Nam-ra and On-jo, but to everyone in the room.

'Why make efforts for logic when we don't even have hopes that it's going to be a success, and why hope for success if we don't even make a move towards it? Logic is a foundational discipline. Logic helps for decision making and we hope because we want our decisions to work. It's critical to your success and life to learn to balance your IQ and EQ.'

"I think... What we need is to fly the drone," Dae-su said.

"Yeah. Let's go go go go," Gyeong-su clapped as he's eager to see his best friend alive.

"Okay, here it goes," then the drone started whirring again out of the room.

Let the hunting begin.

We all circle around the device where we can see where the drone was going, I was a bit surprised that Na-yeon was about join but then get back to her spot seeing she would have to get closer to us. I know because those hours after what happened between her and Gyeong-su she made sure she doesn't come too close to us and would stay at one corner, she didn't even accept the food I was offering her last night. But this morning she didn't refuse and gladly took the food I offered her yet she doesn't talk nor look at us in the eye.

Third Person's POV

Outside was horrifying, it seemed like it was a zombies' territory and that the group were just some visitors that are on a vacation at a foreign place. Swarming of zombies at the large field, at almost every single classrooms, the hallways..everywhere.

The drone took a stop on one of the windows and as it went in the room was almost unrecognizable because of the mess but they did, if it weren't for the beds, curtains, and tools around it.

"No one in the infirmary," Wu-jin said but unknown to them, a very familiar person especially to the said guy had just been inside the room among the three others.

"Joon-yeong, go somewhere else," as on cue, the drone started to wander around it but stopped when Wu-jin told him to do so as if there was something interesting.

"Wait. Hold on.... Is that an arrow?"

"Where?" he pointed at the screen with his finger for the others to see.

"Why?"

"My older sister. She had a competition today," after the sight, Wu-jin had looked even frustrated more. He already was but reminding about her sister, he's overthinking now.

"Where the hell is Cheong-san?"

"What in the–" Jae-won's eyes was quick to leave the small screen when Joon-yeong moved it away, a figure of a girl student was hanging outside the window ...she committed s*icid3 that made Jaewon blocked Si-Mi's eyes with her palm, knowing that just by watching a movie like this gives an effect to her best friend. What more that she witnessed it in real life?

"Oh, It's Cheong-san!"

"What room is that?"

"Cheong-san!" they began shouting for him, but Joon-yeong told them he couldn't hear them.

"Yah! Cheong-san why can't you–" Gyeong-su stomped his foot as he scrunch his nose.

"Cheong-san is alive!" Su-hyeok jumped in happiness that he was carried away from his emotions and hugged On-jo in an instant who froze in place.

Nam-ra saw this and when Su-hyeok noticed Nam-ra's attention he awkwardly backed away, on the other hand, her cousin had witnessed the awkward scene and she could swear she saw Nam-ra's lips almost tugged upwards but masked it up by forming a thin line on her lips. Jae-won wanted to laugh at the awkwardness of the three that she felt a second hand— nope, seemingly a third hand embarrassment. Unknowingly, she left out a snort making her press her lips together.

"Why you three looking at me? I saw nothing," she acted innocent while tugging her piece of hair behind her ear and play with it with her fingers.

"On-jo, you should've at least hugged back."

"Thought you saw nothing?" Su-hyeok crossed his arms.

"Thought so," she shrugged as she continue playing with her hair.

"What's he doing? Hey, look this way! Here! Where are you going, moron?"

"He can't hear you Dae-su!" Joon-yeong, the one who was controlling the drone was getting irritated and if he doesn't stop surely the guy would throw hands.

"Dae-su, if you want to die early, just please don't bring us along."
