29: Cecily

"Bye." I waved to Isabelle and Clary as Tessa and I rode away on our horses.

"I wonder how those two are holding up." Tessa chuckled.

I laughed a bit. "I don't think I even want to know."

Tessa laughed. When Will married Tessa, I found myself really liking her. She was very sweet, and trustworthy. She was one of the first people I had told that I was pregnant because I knew that she wouldn't tell Will.

Her and Will were perfect for each other. Will had always been, cold and distant. When Tessa had come along, she changed him for the better. She had saved my brother, and that was something I could never repay her for.

I remembered the days, before Will had left our family to join the Shadowhunters. Ella and Will had always been playing together and running around, but Will was the one who would try to include me.

Will would be rude to me as well and Tease me, but he was always the one to bandage up my cuts and scrapes. He had been a very carefree, and happy child. Him Ella, and I had been very close, despite the age difference between us all.

When Ella had died, Will became very distant and cold. The year after she died, he left to go join the Shadowhunters. I had been left as the only child. I had missed Ella, and Will dearly. I had been so confused about why Will had left my parents and I. As I grew older I became angry at him for leaving, and causing my parents and I so much pain.

When I was fifteen, I had left to join the Shadowhunters only to try to get Will to come back. Only to learn that we both couldn't go back to our parents. Then, I had regretted my decision on joining the Shadowhunters, but I now see that it was the best decision I had ever made.

"I think we're almost there." Tessa said, snapping me out of my trance.

Sure enough a huge house was coming into view. We left our horses outside, and walked into manor. It was a very Victorian style home. Tessa guided us through the manor, until she found the door that she had seen in Will's mind.

We opened the door, and there sat Gabriel and Will quietly.

"Tessa!" Will jumped up and hugged her.

"Cecy!" Gabriel exclaimed and he hugged me.

We all pulled away from our hugs.

"What are you two doing here?" Tessa asked.

"Last night I came here, because I had waned to the manor. And I accidentally locked myself in here." Will said a bit embarrassed.

"Last night I wanted to go see the Lightwood manor where I had grown up. I had passed here, and I noticed that the door was wide open. I walked inside and heard banging. I had found Will in here, and then we both got locked in here." Gabriel explained.

"Did it not occurs to you both, to use an opening rune?" I said.

Gabriel and Will just stared at me.

"Lightworm." Will started. "Why the bloody hell, didn't we think of that?"

For once Gabriel didn't look affected by what Will called him.

"I don't even know." Was all Gabriel said.

Tessa and I just laughed.

"Where's Jamie?" Will asked.

"Clary and Jace are taking care of him." Tessa said.

Suddenly I felt searing pain go through my stomach. I shouted and collapsed into Gabriel's arms.

"Cecily!" He exclaimed, as he caught me before I fell.

"What's wrong?" Will asked frantically.

I tried to answer, but I couldn't. Will's worried face was all I saw before I blacked out.
