I had just finished 4th period and I was heading to the library to meet jj as every lunch time we head there before we go to hang out with the pouges.

Usually we meet at the library at around 12:10 but I got there around 12 because I didn't have to get to my locker.I was awkwardly waiting outside the library like I normally do when I saw jj was already in the library so I decided to go in; as I got closer I saw the most rare site ever he was talking to the high school football team, me and jj never really liked the football team they were quite rude and stuck up despite them coming from the cut well that's what I thought anyway.

Out of curiosity I waited behind a shelf filled with books directly behind the group of boys listening to their conversation.I wasn't really focused on their conversation until I heard my name.

"So I heard your friends with y/n"Jacob the quarterback of the football team says

"Um yeah" Jj mumbled

"She's a bit wired isn't she"Nate the midfielder of the football team laughed

That's when my face fell and tears threatened to fall from my y/c/n eyes.I froze when I noticed jj chuckle is he seriously not sticking up for me.

"I mean how can you hang out with her you must be hooking up with her, right"Will the goalkeeper of the football smiled

I felt disgusted but most of all betrayed that my bestfriend wouldn't even defend me.

"No me and y/n just hang out sometimes"Jj replies

I feel salty tears run down my cheeks not because of what Nate said but because jj was doing nothing about it; it was starting to get harder to stay silent I swallowed my cries in order not to get caught.I was about to walk away when I heard jj begin to talk.

"She is a freak Its hard to get rid of her"

Not only was his words pure venom but to make it worse the whole football team was laughing; heat rises to my damp cheeks out of sheer embarrassment. I couldn't handle listening to anymore so I started to walk out of the library but I was stopped mid step when I heard-

"Y/n-"

I tuned around looking over my shoulder to see jj standing there with a guilty look. I was too tired for him right now so started to walk away only to just realise he was following me; I began to walk faster not want him to talk to me.

"Y/N WAIT PLEASE"

"WHAT."I turn around to look at jj, giving him a look full of hate and anger.

"I'm so sorry you know I didn't mean it" Tears welling in his eyes

"Don't cry, I am just a freak"
