It was another day in outerbanks the sun was shining and the waves were awesome so me and the pogues decided to do have a beach day. We were all in the chateau trying to find towels, bottles of water, sunscreen beach stuff etc.

"I call shotgun" Jj shouts running out the chateau

"No fare I never get to sit shotgun"I shout as I start chasing him out the chateau

I start to catch up to him running as fast as I can, I pull my foot tripping him up but as I do so he pulls me down with him tipping me up in the process.
Both of us lying down face flat on the floor covered in dirt.

"I bet that wasn't part of your plan huh,you cheater"Jj says referring to him pulling me down with him

"I'm not a cheater"I roll my eyes

"Yes you are you tripped me up"

"Alls fare in shotgun and war"
He looked at me with a wide grin which I gladly returned back.

"Get up off the floor you idiots"Pope say walking past us calmly and sitting shotgun .

Me and jj both get and sit at the back of the Twinkie glaring at pope for sitting in the passenger seat.I feel jj shift in the seat and put an arm around me I bit my lip trying to hide the smile the was growing on my face.The rest of the group gets into the Twinkie with all the necessities for a perfect beach day.

We arrive at the beach we all put towels down on the sand so we can sit on for the rest of the day.All of the pouges were sitting down in the sand talking. I decided to put sunscreen on as I didn't want to burn and look like a lobster. I put the sunscreen everywhere however I was struggling to put it on my back as I couldn't reach, jj noticed I was struggling and offered to help I didn't want to be rude and say no so I said yes. I got closer to him and passed him the bottle of sunscreen I heard him squirt some in his hand and rub it all over my back when his rough but gentle hands come in contact with my skin I started blushing I could feel heat rising on my cheeks. I look up to see kie looking at me with a smirk I send her a look that tells her to stop but she just smiled and goes back to her Conversation with pope, no one knows about my crush on jj except for kie. I noticed jj finished so I said thank you to him and awkwardly shuffle away heading toward kie and pope to join there conversation hoping jj didn't see me red cheeks. Pope was talking about quantum physics it was quite interesting actually. The conversation was cut short as John b and jj called pope over with them to go surfing.

Me and kie chose to stay an the beach and tan after constant begging from the boys to go surf with them they gave up and just decided to go into the water by themselves. Me and kie were having a nice girls talk shopping,gossip, family,how annoying kooks are,the ocean but then she brings up the topic about boys.

"So jj-" I cut her off before she could say anything else.

"Ya know I think I'm going to take up the offer the boys made"I was referring to when they were begging us to go surf with them.

Just as I got up I was being pulled back down again this time by kie. I huff knowing I can't get away from this conversation.

"Y/n"

"kieeeee"I say dragging out the e at the end

She rolls her eyes at me with a smile she can never get mad at me.

"So you and jj are close huh"she smirks

I look of into the distance seeing nothing but the crystal blue sea and my 3 best friends Riding the waves but I was looking at one in Particular,my favourite person, jj maybank. Kie followed my gaze and saw I was looking at jj, I didn't realise I was smiling until I hear her speak again.

"You love him don't you" she says softly

I don't break my gaze at the blonde surfer boy.

"He smells nice"

"Y/n he smells like beer and weed"she looks at me like I was crazy

"Yeah but he can pull it off"
