The room was a mess, cardboards here and there, pieces of paper thrown everywhere. Bottles of glitters and glue spilled on the floor, the making of the booth in general was a big mess.

I sat at the corner of the room with Jaemin, playing a kart game to kill time. "Donghyuck, Jaemin, help us out!" One of the girls screamed at us. We ignored her, continuing our day as it is.

"You jerks! Play games or get demerit, which one is your favorite?" Another girl with blood red highlights interfered. We both let out a loud sigh, quitting the game and put the phone down at the same time.

"That was somewhat creepily synchronized," another student said. "Okay Minnie, how can we help you with this?" I got up from the chair and asked, kicking a few stuff that was blocking my way.

"I'll give you something easy. How about you figure out a suitable game, make sure it's fun, and come up with a logo to add on to our sign," she instructed. I rarely talk to Minnie but one thing I'm sure is that she makes a pretty good leader.

"I'll do that with Jaemin right now," I turned around slowly. "Oh no no no you're doing that alone. Jaemin has better stuffs to do," she winked at me and called for Jaemin.

The male sat down next to her and started laughing at the jokes the group was making. "She needs help," I whispered to myself and plopped myself on the floor. Rolling around while looking for an interesting game to play.

Should we do card games? Seems boring, what can you do with cards? "Hey what should this game be based off?" I crawled closer to Minnie to get her opinion. I stared at her for a good minute but got nothing in return because she was busy laughing her fucking ass and tits off with the remarkable Jaemin.

"Bitch," I said to get her attention and surprisingly it did. "What did you say?" Her eyes pierced into my soul. "I asked you what this game is based off?" It was more of a question instead of a statement.

"I don't know, just make the game fun and you'll be fine. Don't call me a bitch or I'll put a stick up your asshole," she warned and went back to the fun discussion she's having with her little clique.

"Oh god save me from this fiery woman she's going to kill me!" I dropped to the ground dramatically and put a hand over my forehead. "Oh god have mercy on Donghyuck before I turn him into my midnight snack!" Minnie played along and laid down on my stomach.

Jaemin laughed at how our personality was alike, he told me that a couple of times because he's close with Minnie. "Do you like Jaemin?" I asked her quietly in which she got up from me quickly as a respond. I didn't have to wait for an answer, her face was saying it all.

"What? Haha you are delusional Donghyuck!" She hits my chest and kept on laughing awkwardly with Jaemin. "That's a pretty straightforward answer," I got up as well and leaned against the wall.

My phone screen lit up when I touched it, showing tons of game ideas that could be done during an event. I went from one website to another one just so that I could ignore the girl that was giving me a spooky stare.

"Oh stop it your eyes are making me blush," I winked at her which made her pretending to throw up and turn around to get back to work.

I told myself yesterday not to come here but here I am once was again, in front of the bookstore. The reason why I got myself here was because Auntie had texted me to come eat with her,

and Mark.

At first I rejected her offer but when she told me she made kimchi stew and pork belly, I just couldn't resist myself. Those are my two favorite meals of all time, there's no way I'm missing out.

I made small steps towards the entrance, entering as quietly as possible to not make any noise but the dumb bell decided to ring. "Welcome," a monotone voice greeted me from under the counter. I knew it was Mark, so I decided to pass by the counter but he got up before I could even do that.

"I thought I told you to get out?" He said. It was deniably hurt to hear those but I pretended that it was fine.

"Your grandma told me to come," I said and went upstairs. The aroma of the food made me forget the small conversation I had with Mark a few seconds ago. By the sight of the old lady cooking while listening to Norwegian Wood by The Beatles, I smiled.

"Hi Auntie," I said happily, sitting down on the chair. She turned around and put a gold pot in the middle of the table. "How's everything today?" She asked me with a hint of joy in her tone. "Oh nothing much. Just working for a booth and chatting with friends," right when I finished my sentence, Mark came up.

He sat down in front of me and went on his phone, completely ignoring my presence. "Mark, it's rude to do that when we have a guest," Auntie ran her fingers through his hair. "Yea I'll put it down in a minute,"

Ding!

"Oh! I'll be right back," she said as soon as she heard the bell ringing.

The room was now dead silent. I didn't bring my phone with me because I thought this dinner wouldn't require me to have one. Coming here was a big mistake, Mark probably didn't like me at all.

Why am I suddenly caring about what he thinks?

While my eyes wondered around the house, I caught something running from the corner of my eyes. My head turned to where the moving object was, suddenly feeling goosebumps breaking out on my skin.

A second after that, I saw it again from somewhere else. I turned my head quickly but there was nothing. Mark seemed so calm so I was assuming that he either didn't see anything or he was ignoring it.

I stare at the bed since that was the last place I saw the moving object. When my eyes caught a basket moving right next to the bed, I jumped up on the chair.

It was a mouse. Two mice to be exact.

"Shit Mark there's a mouse!" I yelled. My voice probably triggered the mice to run around. "What the fuck!" He threw his phone away and jumped on the chair as well. "What are you doing? Get it out of here!" I screamed at him.

One of the mouse came running towards Mark's chair which made him yell even more. Our chaotic selves made the mice squeak loudly. I took this chance to run to the couch, far away from the mice.

"What am I suppose to do?!" Mark kneeled on the chair and started praying to god. "Oh god get your beautiful holy furry animals away from me!"

"Mark this is no time to pray grab the broom stick behind you!" I jumped on the couch lightly. "What?! That shit is 6 ft away from me my hands aren't that long!"

"Run towards it!" Out of nowhere, another two mice came out from under the couch. They were all running around and squeaking, barely giving me and Mark space to run around. "What are we suppose to do now? I hate rats!" Mark ran back to the chair after grabbing the broom. "I don't know I just want to eat, those are my favorites!" I cried out loud. "Well it's mine too so we have to figure something out?!"

Soon enough, Auntie came in and looked at us as if we were a bunch of morons. "What is going on?" She asked and noticed four rats on the floor, running around. She turned off the radio and took the broom away from Mark.

Me and Mark stopped yelling and looked at Auntie. She took a bucket and put it down, picking up each mouse and put it inside. "You can touch that?" Mark went down from the chair and looked at the animals as if they were some poisonous creature that couldn't be touched.

"It's not whether you can touch it or not. It's either you're brave or a coward," she said. I went down from the couch and sat on it, still surprised by how easily Auntie handled the situation. "I really can't leave you both alone can I? There's always something happening between you two," she murmured and went back downstairs.

"Do you think we were being loud?" I asked Mark.

"Yea. We probably scared the customers,"
