Just as Mark had thought his day was going good, it had to be ruined by the woman sitting at the curb smoking.

She inhaled the substance into her body and let out a gray, ashy smoke out of her mouth. Her head tilts back to look up at the sky, squinting her eyes due to the bright light entering her blue orbs.

"What are you doing here?" Mark stomped out of the store. He wanted to begin the day with joy but the sight of her face ruined his motivation.

"Funny how you're running away from your problems when you told me not to," she drops the stick of cigarette on the ground and stepped on it. Gahyeon stood up and turned to look at the male.

Mark seemed different in her eyes. His appearance was innocent with a splash of trauma that is represented by the piercings on his face. Mark never brushed his hair but now, it was sitting still on his head. It was shiny and healthy.

"Why did you follow me here," he came closer to the girl. "Just to give you a taste of what you actually deserve," her smile was devilish. Gahyeon moved her gaze from his eyes to his legs. "You're different now," she spoke.

"Look, all I wanted to do was forget about it. I want a new life,"

"Mark there is no such thing as new life. The past can be forgotten but it will stick with you until the day you die,"

"So be it! I want a fresh start,"

"You don't understand Mark. I'm here to take you with me back to Canada,"

"What?"

"You took all my money! I did my job but I didn't get a single cent from that best friend of yours! I sold my body-" Mark covered her mouth before she could scream even more. He knew the elders would listen to their conversation, thinking its an argument between two love birds but in reality, it was far from that.

He pulled her into the store and slammed the door close. Gahyeon used all the force she had to let go of herself from his grip. "You were the reason my life was ruined," she wiped the droplets of saliva on the corner of her lips.

"Dean, he's in jail now,"

"What?" Mark ran his fingers through his hair and gripped on it. He knew everything was going down into flames, just when he thought things were getting better when Donghyuck accepted his confession.

"They found out about the ring and they are searching for everyone involved," she said. Mark noticed how she didn't seem to worry. In fact, she was glad that the police are now doing their job.

Gahyeon doesn't care if she gets locked up in jail, she admits to all the sinful things she'd done. It was the men involved that she was happy to see behind the bars. They never regretted anything they did, and she thought this would be the greatest lesson for them after everything.

"What are you going to do now?" Mark was scared.

"Admit my crime and take you along," the corner of her lips curved upwards. Her eyes looked directly at Mark's, making him shiver. "No!" He yelled.

Mark pushed the magazines and books off of the table. He was furious upon hearing the words spilling out of her mouth as if it was nothing. His breathing was unstable due to all the anger built up inside of him.

Mark looked at the helpless girl and walked slowly towards her. "You're such a pain do you know that?" He whispered before wrapping his fingers around her neck. He put pressure on her throat, making her gasp for air. "Mark let go of me!" She tried pulling his hands away but Mark was stronger than her.

"Don't kill me!" She coughed out. Her throat was turning purple as she look at the male in front of her . Mark was scared and worried, he didn't know what to do. He wasn't ready to spend his life in jail for years.

"Mark!" A guy screamed from behind. Johnny pulled Mark away from the girl and pushed him to the floor. He quickly got above him and attacked him with punches on the face. Mark was already weak at that point because he couldn't fight back.

Nevertheless, he was happy that Johnny was back.

"Johnny stop it's going to cause you trouble too!" Gahyeon pulled his jacket but nothing was stopping him from anything. "You're back," Mark flashed a drunken smile at Johnny. "Consider yourself lucky because I'm done with your shit," he punched for the last time before stomping away, followed by the meek girl.

"Mark are you okay?" Donghyuck ran to him as soon as he saw his boyfriend's face. There were cuts all over his face. "What happened to you?" Donghyuck cried, brushing his thumb on the wounds. Mark shrieked at the pain, backing away from the boy.

"There's nothing to worry about. I'm okay," he smiled to give Donghyuck reassurance. He didn't want to drag the boy into his mess. "Are you sure?" His eyes were worried for the male.

"Yes," he said and placed a peck on his forehead.

"We'll go for the piano practice later and eat dinner together okay?" he continued and Donghyuck nodded as a sign for his agreement but that didn't put his heart at ease knowing well that something happened to Mark.

"Where should we eat later? I'm getting pretty hungry," Donghyuck asked.

They walked together towards their class. Unfortunately, they'd soon have to part ways due to different subjects but it didn't stop them from taking the same route to spend more time together.

"But you just started the day!"

"See you don't even know me! I eat more than you think. Waiting for dinner is like waiting for a rock to turn into a leaf," Donghyuck kicked the rock as far as possible. He slipped his hands into the pockets of his jacket due to the cold weather.

"You're exaggerating," Mark rolled his eyes.

"Give me food if you don't want me to exaggerate,"

"In your dreams,"

"Fuck you honestly,"

"Fuck you too,"
