My eyes fluttered open, feeling the strong pain on my back bone. The light ray hits my eye, making me close it unconsciously. I open it up once again, adjusting my eyesight to the surrounding.

I tried moving my hand but felt a grip on it instead. I took a quick look and there was Donghyuck sleeping while holding my hand. "Donghyuck?" I called his name out.

He lifted up his head slowly and looked at me for a second. "Oh thank god you're fine. What the hell were you thinking letting someone beat you up to a pulp," he said, sitting with his back straighten up. He cupped my cheeks and checked on the wounds covering up half of my face.

"I wanted to put disinfectant but I don't know where the first aid kit is," he said with a straight face. "You can go home I can put it on my own," I said and got out of bed. I made my way towards the kitchen and took out a box from one of the top drawers. I sat on the dining chair and opened the box.

"Look, I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just something that happens when I get a hangover," he muttered. "It's okay I shouldn't have done it in the first place," I know I wanted to be nice with him but I should know that if he doesn't want the help that I offer, than I should back off. "Let me help you Mark," he said softly. I averted my gaze towards him, locking eyes with his brown orbs.

"Okay," I put the box down on the floor. I told Donghyuck to sit on the floor and we both did the same thing. This would be easier for him to put the meds on me.

I carefully examined the boy, looking at his movement. He got out a cotton ball and put a few drops of disinfectant on it and proceeded to dab it on my wound carefully. "Does it hurt?" He asked, still focusing on the wounds.

I couldn't help but to stare at his features. The moles scattered on his face and neck, forming the constellation of Ursa Minor which is also known as little bear. His lips would part whenever he's focused on one thing like he is now. His doe eyes was an art, though I might sound ridiculous but it is. Once you look at it, you can't help but to stare at it and the thoughts to know more about what's behind it. It will roam in your mind for as long as it could and you would always wonder about it. It keeps you up at night, that was how mesmerizing his eyes were.

It was capable to pull you into an abyss in which you could never leave.

"Mark?" He called out my name gently. My tummy was already filled with a flying insect. "Yes?"

"Does it hurt?" He stopped dabbing and looked at me to get an answer. I got lost in his eyes once again, wondering if I could ever reach his league. "Oh, it doesn't," I gave him a faint smile and dropped my gaze to the floor. Wouldn't it be embarrassing if he caught me staring at him like a creep?

"You know Mark, if there's anything that is bothering you, you could come to me. I'll accept you whenever,"

I hate when someone says that to me. They say that now but once I do come to them, they'll leave right away. I barely know Donghyuck, so am I suppose to put my trust on him. "Why did the guy hit you?" He asked. I kept quiet, not knowing how to answer his question. I can't just tell him that I was once a drug dealer in Canada and Johnny found out about it so he decided to punch me. "You shouldn't worry about that Donghyuck," I told him nicely. My past is scary, and I don't want Donghyuck to see me as a monster.

"Remember when you asked me why I stayed here?" I broke the silence with a question. Donghyuck continued to put the bandages on the small cuts around my body. "Yeah, what about it?"

"I came here to solely start a new life,"

"Why do you say that?"

"Well, I can't reincarnate myself into whatever I want so the only choice I have left is to have new purposes and forget about the past," I explained to him. Whenever I talk about how I want to start a new life, it seems impossible. This is because wherever I go, the people I avoided will eventually come to bring the past I've left behind.

Gahyeon, what is she doing here?

"What past are you trying to forget specifically?" He put on another bandage above my eyebrows and looked at me after. "The past I had in Canada," I'm not going to spill out the things I've done. What happens later will happen. For now, I'm just focusing on what I want.

"Care to elaborate?" He sassed and rolled his eyes. "Not now, I'll tell you soon," I was lost in my own thought. Will the day ever come? The day where I would tell Donghyuck about my past and what I did in Canada? Will he run to the police right away to tell them everything I've done?

I'm a criminal, the one where no one would dare to come near me. Being a criminal could mean anything. I could steal someones valuable, exploit people, use my power to murder someone, anything can happen.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asked me. The look on my face could've possibly made him overthink a few things. It never made me uncomfortable, they just scare me.

I like him more than anything, I would run thousands of miles to get to him, and because of that, I don't want him to think bad about me.

"Of course not! I just had a lot in mind, you don't have to worry about me," I gave him a smile to reassure him.

Maybe one day I'll tell you.
