Marina meets Kaimelia

"what do you do that's so special?"

Carina turned around whilst also trying to avoid getting in the way of any trauma's -as she was standing in the middle of the ER-  and was greeted by a face filled with curiosity and partly confusion.

"I'm sorry?", the Italian questioned as she didn't want to come across rude but couldn't tell if the person she was speaking has intentions of being polite, or if they were even supposed to be here.

"Your scrubs, they're pink I've only seen blue and.." they paused and looked around the ER "..darker blue" the neuro scientist didn't want to make it too obvious that they were new here but it was proving difficult.

"Ohh" the brunette exclaimed as she peered down at here scrubs with a look of realisation on her face.
"I'm an OB/GYN, apparently that means my scrubs have to match what I specialise in" she explained as they both chuckled.

"Dr Kai Bartley" the neuro scientist said as they extended their hand out in hopes of making a new friend.

"Dr Carina Deluca" the OB said as she shook Kai's hand, hoping she was being welcoming enough as it was obvious they were new and possibly lost.

Just then Kai remembered where they were standing and realised that Carina probably wasn't standing there waiting for their girlfriend to finish a consult. "I'm sorry am I keeping you from a consult?" Kai's eyes widened in realisation and guilt at the thought that their need to know could've stopped a pregnant women from care.

"No, don't worry Dr Bartley I was actually just-" just as the Italian was about to finish her sentence Amelia came out of trauma one smiling when she saw Kai. "I leave you here for 5 minutes and you are already here bothering one of my fellow doctors", the neuro surgeons eyes of adoration faded and she focused her attention on the Italian, "Dr Deluca I hope they didn't bother you too much" they all chuckled as Carinas eyes kept shifting towards the ER doors.

"Not at all Dr Shepard, and you can call me Carina, me and Dr Bartley we're having a perfectly pleasant conversation you pick them well" a cheeky wink escaped the OB's eyes, as Amelia's cheeks started to blush intensely. Kai faced Carina with their face looking so lost it was funny.

"Your girlfriend used to have a crush on me", carina said blatantly "...whilst she had a boyfriend"

"OKAY, Carina isn't it time for you to go and stick your hand in a vagina?" Amelia exclaimed, obviously embarrassed and didn't want to have this conversation with her new partner, Kai brought their coffee cup over their mouth and mumbled, "apparently not yours"

Laughter arose between Carina and Kai as they high-fived each other and folding over themselves. Amelias mouth was wide as she playfully hit Kai's back, pretending to be deeply offended. "I never should've let you two meet...., anyway let's not keep Dr Deluca from her work"

"I'm actually just waiting for My wife to show up that's why I keep looking at the door"

Both Doctors looked shocked but for very different reasons, they both spoke at the same time.
"Your married?" Amelia questioned looking very confused, as Carina held up the ring pinned on her scrubs.
"Were you just hoping she got hurt?" Kai asked equally confused. The Italian just chuckled at the chaos between this couple.

"Who are you married to? Are they a doctor? Do they work here? Wait do I know them?" Amelias brain seemed to go on overload, still wondering how she possibly could've missed this after all she did consider Carina her friend.

"Uhhh let me think about how I can make this make sense to you.. Okay so I'm married to one of Chief Baileys, husbands, bosses" the OB exhaled slightly exaggerating how much of a mouthful that was but hoping that made sense to her so she didn't have to explain further.
