Maya Deluca-Bishop

"Nineteen!, well done team that was a tough one and it got called in at the end of a 24hr" Maya spoke to her team and there was a collection of "thanks cap". "Listen B-shift and 23 are staying on for overhaul so you guys are free to go I'll see you all on Tuesday". Most firefighters dispersed except from Vic, Andy and Travis who all gathered together with Maya.

"My car and Vics car is in the parking lot at the Walmart two blocks down since somebody got the sudden urge to run to work after we randomly ran into each other there" Travis said putting emphasis on the 'somebody' and pointing his eyes towards Vic. "Shut up it was fun! are we still up for going to yours cap?"

"Yeah can you give me and Andy a ride though? I can't be bothered going all the way back to the station" she questioned as they are started to walk along the nearby street towards the Walmart. "Yeah of course but don't you need to get your stuff and change out of your turn outs?" Vic questioned as she was trying to stay awake, it had been a long shift followed by a three alarm.

"Travis can go and get our stuff and bring it to Mayas right Trav?" Andy asked, smiling and nudging into Travis trying to annoy him but he was surprisingly tame. "Yeah sure I need to pick up my stuff anyway" was his reply which was unexpected but everyone assumed he was just too tired to function.

"Okay but be quick I don't have my cell on me and my wife will get angry if I don't text her saying I'm okay" bishop replied and a few chuckles arose from the group. "She's really got a hold on you Bishop" Vic said between giggles.
"Considering I walked down the.. well the middle of your parents restaurant and vowed to love her forever I would have to say yeah, she does have quite the hold on me"

They reached the store and all got in there chosen cars and started to head off. Soon they arrived outside the blondes home and were all in the living room, Vic and Andy on the three seater with a free seat for Travis and Maya on an Armchair. "Hey Maya what time does Carina get in we haven't seen her in ages" Andy questioned whilst reaching for her beer.

"Yeah I miss that hottie" Vic said which caused maya to give her a "oh really" look. "She should be home in about 10 minutes but I sure hope Trav gets back before her so I can at least say I texted her. "I cannot believe after all these years Maya 'monogamy is for the weak' bishop is the one with a loving partner who gets mad if they don't know their whereabouts" Andy said and Vic gave a "right!" look and gesture the best she could with a beer bottle on her mouth.

"Guys I promise you will make it there some day" the blonde replied sarcastically clutching her chest. "How is it dating men these days, not going to lie to you guys it looks horrible" she laughed as the two women just gave her the finger. Just then they heard the door opening and were praying it was Travis but were proven wrong as a scream filled the entrance to the house.

"MAYA DELUCA-BISHOP" was all they could heard along with footsteps approaching the living room. "Somebody's in troubleee" Vic teased in a sing-songy voice quickly followed by a look from Maya as if to say "shut up". "Maya I swear to god you weren't home after your 24hr, fine you've gone to one of the guys houses, your phones dead whatever, but then I go into the work and Bailey pulls me into the see the news and there was a three alarm fire downtown and I didn't even get a text message to say you weren't going to be home?" By the end of Carinas speech her voice had changed from anger to concern and exhaustion.

"Baby I'm sorry it got called just as we were getting dressed so we just had to run I promise I would've texted to and I was going to after but Travis is taking ages to come back with everything" she said genuinely reached her hand over to hold Carinas who just looked over to Vic and Andy who both nodded to confirm the truth behind the blondes story.

"Okay.." the brunette breathed out in frustration and exhaustion "... we are all pretty close right? I mean obviously you guys and Maya and me and Maya but we are quite close friends right?" -to which they both nodded- "okay so I've had like a really really bad day and all I want to go right now is go and sleep in my bed in my wife's arms but by the soot on your fore heads and the look on your faces and the empty beer bottles I can tell you guys had a bad day too and I'm not a selfish person so you girls and Travis when he gets here are just going to have to deal with me when you have your chats about whatever and just pretend I'm not here, sì?" Carina released a big breath after that as she said it all very fast in one breath.

"Okay Delucs" Vis replied and Andy nodded though they were confused to why she needed the big speech as was Maya. They soon found out as Carina kicked of her shoes and shrugged of her jacked. The tired doctor walked towards the armchair that was current occupied by her beautiful wife and she stopped for a second to stare into her eyes. You want this seat baby?" She asked -very sweetly- and made a move to get up.

"Woahhh she really wrapped around your little finger isn't she bishop?" Andy commented which made Vic let out chuckle and Maya just glared at her. "I don't know if that was one of your little sayings but it's usually more than one finger" carina said casually as she sat down on top of Maya in a position which vaguely resembles a baby being cradled.

"Carina!!" Maya exclaimed as her cheeks blushed bright red and she hide her face in the crook of the brunettes neck. "We should invite Deluca over for girls nights more often" Vic said still in a fit of laughter.

"I'll drink to that!" Herrera said clinking her beer glass with Vics and taking a sip. Maya, Andy and Vic continued there conversations with Carina joining in a occasionally though she was just there is enjoy the comfort of her wife. At least 15 minutes later Travis finally emerged through the door holding everyone's things and looking half dead.

"Wow Montgomery you decided to show!" Andy shouted as she was the first one to see him and cussed all their heads to turn. "Okay okay I have all your things but someone on B-shift found me basically asleep against the lockers!" The firefighter exclaimed with a hint of laughter in his voice as he handed out everyone's belongings and took a seat.

"What's with the lovebirds here?" Travis said pointing between Maya and Carina which earned a stern look from Maya. "I don't know something about having a bad day and they like have to be attached to each other because of it." Vic said staring blankly at Travis.

"Just because you very serious 'emotionless' captain has somebody to confide in and be vulnerabile with doesn't mean you have let your jealousy seep through all the cracks in every conversation Hughes." Carina replied her head still buried in the crook of Mayas who's eyes just widened at her wife's boldness. "Woah Deluca someone woke up and chose violence" Vic replied, Andy,Travis and Maya were just watching this conflict unravel.

"Yeah sorry Hughes but it's been a long day and I'm not in the mood to tolerate any more shit talk about my wife from the people that are supposed to be her friends, no offence Herrera you've been great recently." She said without looking up. Travis looked offended but Maya just mouthed a "your okay" to him to reassure him that her wife probably didn't even remember he was in the room.

"Okay I think that's my queue" Vic said standing up to leave.

"Yeah I think it is" Carina replied.

A/N

I started writing this ages and it was going to end cute and happy but I'm angry at Vic from last nights episode so the first half and second half might not really relate but oh well xxx

Also this isn't based off what is happening in season 6
