Ohhhhhh myyyyy godddddd. Another one of my absolute favorites. I'm shocked by how good this movie is considering it's a 1960's movie. Okay in all honesty, if a Bates Motel was near me I'd go just to get stabbed by Norman. Aka Anthony Perkins, he was good looking what can I say? I also really enjoy the fact that Tony added to the character  (the director was fine with it). Example: during the movie Norman would constantly eat candy corn. Which Tony said that it symbolized a bird eating seed (you'll understand why if you watch it). I love the fact that this movie was also brought up in the Scream franchise by Billy Loomis, the quote Billy says is down below.

Quote: "We all go a little mad sometimes."-Anthony Perkins, Psycho

Googles explanation:

Phoenix secretary Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), on the lam after stealing $40,000 from her employer in order to run away with her boyfriend, Sam Loomis (John Gavin), is overcome by exhaustion during a heavy rainstorm. Traveling on the back roads to avoid the police, she stops for the night at the ramshackle Bates Motel and meets the polite but highly strung proprietor Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), a young man with an interest in taxidermy and a difficult relationship with his mother.

Also it's been said that Sam Loomis from Psycho, Dr. Sam Loomis from Halloween, and Billy Loomis are somehow all connected in a way. Dr. Loomis is supposedly Sam Loomis from Psycho and Billy is a relative of Sam's. That's some lore I've heard at least.
