They both fill the void of Lia's father who abandoned her and Mrs. Sarah, 12 years ago. Regardless, Mrs. Sarah has always tried her absolute best to fill the void of her father's absence. She loves her daughter and only wishes the best for her such as, A BOYFRIEND. *winks*

———————-PLOT BEGINS————————

"Liaaaa! Come down honey. You've been taking forever to get ready", Mrs. Sarah called out.

"COMING MOM! Just a few minutes please", Lia yelled back from her bedroom.

"God! Why won't these pants fit arghhh", I said,"These pants are driving me insane. I'm already running late on my first day. Good lord help meeeee", Lia groaned as she looked into the mirror, leaping, bouncing and jumping so that the pants fit her. After an hour full of struggles, the pants finally got up on her waist. The black tank top, beige pants and her old leather jacket looked decent today.
She looked at her reflection from every angle, "Hmm right profile? *turns to the right* Looks okay, Now left? *turns to the left* Hmm ew but okay", Lia whispered to herself as she rolled eyes at her reflection.

"Cmon Liaaa! Come down, you're getting late. Enough of that charade!" Mrs. Sarah gave out a loud scream. She had grown agitated at Lia's gawky self.

"Sarah, I think I'll go check up on Lia", Jordan suggested and marched upstairs towards Lia's room.

She had been Lia's bestfriend since kindergarten and hence, considered Mrs. Sarah like her friend so she didn't bother referring to Mrs. Sarah by her name and neither did Mrs. Sarah or Lia.

"Lia! Open the GODDAMN door already. You're late bitch", Jordan pounded on the door and pushed the door knob impatiently.

"Goodness gracious WHAT THE HECK Jordan! Stop pushing the door knob for fuck's sake. I'm opening the door, just give me a sec", Lia groaned.
She quickly grabbed her purse and glanced at herself again in the mirror. A gulp formed in her throat as she thought of the people who would stare at her and probably judge her at work.

"LIA OPEN THE DOOR NOW WHAT THE—

"WHAT NOW?!", Lia yelled back as soon as she opened the door.

Jordan stood in front of her and gawked at her from head to toe.

"What's with the creepy stare huh?", Lia asked with her brows raised.

"Shut up. Let me see what you're wearing", Jordan said and continued to gawk at Lia's outfit for a few seconds, "Hmm so we're going to what? A funeral? So basic you bitch", Jordan rolled eyes and scowled at her.

"What?", Lia asked, "This took an hour and you're saying this is BASIC?! So FRICKING RUDE JORDAN".

"It's a fact though. Why can't you dress a bit more like a..." Jordan smirked.

"Like a??" Lia furrowed her brows.

"Like a sexy lady!", Jordan smirked and wiggled her shoulders.

"I hope you know I'm an INTERN and not a POLE DANCER!", Lia snapped back, "Anyways, I'm getting late. Just move already, will ya?", Lia continued and threw her arms pushing Jordan against the wall.
She ran down the stairs and stumbled on her toes but kept herself from falling.

"Be careful Lia!" Mrs. Sarah cried out loud.

"I'm okay Mom, just getting late so I gotta rush a bit", Lia responded while tying her shoelace. She was stumbling with one foot up in the air and the other resting.

"You look pretty honey but don't you think it's a little...umm... Basic??", Mrs. Sarah pointed out and broke out in a grin.

"Not you too mom! This is supposed to be a formal outfit and I need to look sober, not like some Hooker", Lia clenched her jaws, acting pissed and annoyed. She kept looking at her watch.
"Just 40 minutes left omg. I need to hurry up", Lia panted as she struggled with the shoelace. Her palms were sweaty and her fingers were somewhat shaking which prevented her from tying the shoelace properly.

"Do you need help with that?", Jordan insisted as she came down with an apple in her hand

"Yeah um no, I'm good. It's done", Lia refused,
"Mom and Jordan, I need to go now. Bye!", She stomped in haste.

"Lia wait! Let's have some wine, it's your first day and this will be a great start to it!", Mrs. Sarah insisted with 3 glasses of wine in her hands and a smile on her face. She was in awe of her daughter's success.

Lia couldn't say no to her Mom. She loved her more than anything, "Aww mom, Thank you! Give me that", Lia hugged her mom and took the glass from her hand.

"To Lia!", Jordan howled in excitement and clinked the glasses.

"Ah thanks you guys! I gotta go now, byee!", Lia rushed out, towards her car.

Both Jordan and Mrs. Sarah waved at Lia as she walked towards the car with a soft smile on their faces. The joy on their faces was unfeigned.

Lia juggled the car keys as she opened the door and sat in the driver's seat. Her throat felt dry because of the anxiety that she had about her first day. She turned on the music and pulled the gear back while pressing her foot on the accelerater, "Jesus Christ let's go!", Lia huffed as she took a turn and her car made a rough, wheezing sound.
The steering wheel looked somewhat wet because of the sweat on Lia's palms. Her palms would often slip when she tried to spin the wheel in any direction.

"I hope the road doesn't have traffic today, I really can't afford to waste a single minute on those cars honking at me and wasting my time".

As she took a turn and entered the busy highway, she saw a whole dozen of cars, lined up, honking at each other. It looked impossible for the road to clear up anytime soon. Her face was turning pale with the thoughts of being late on her first day. She was sweating with fear. She looked into the rear view mirror to see whether she had space to make a quick turn but unfortunately, within a matter of seconds, dozens of cars piled up behind her. She was in for a long ride indeed.
