Oh hi love! Back at your reading spree I see💖

Narrator's Pov:
Lia would be filled with pessimism everytime she'd think about the party. She knew it wasn't long until she was kicked out of her "newly-begun internship".
She started packing her stuff in haste. Her shift was over, atleast for today. She couldn't wait to go home and jump in her bed and squeeze herself in her cozy blanket and just sleep the rest of the night away.

"Hey you're heading out?", Jay asked from a distance as he saw Lia heading out of her cabin.

"Yes. My shift's over", Lia pressed her lips.

"Oh yes! Hope you had a good first day! Hope to see you tomorrow", Jay smirked.

"Yeah. Thanks, bye", Lia replied and walked away. She wasn't interested in any of what Jay was trying to say. She already had too much going on her plate.

"Hey honey. You're back! How was your day?", Mrs. Andrews began with her brows raised.

"Yeah it was good Mom. Is dinner ready?", Lia faked a smile and dodged the topic.

"Oh sorry, yes! I've cooked your favourite meal. C'mon, tidy yourself up and come downstairs. I'll just re-heat the food", Mrs. Andrews hurried.

Lia rushed upstairs in her room and shut the door. She threw her bag and went straight in for a hot shower. After having such a long day, she deserved that.
She threw her clothes nearby the bathroom doormat, slide right inside, turned on the faucet and stepped into the hot shower. The warm water gushed down Lia's slightly warm torso. The water gently ran down her body like a soothing cascade.  It felt amazing. Lia scoffed in relaxation, lathering soap all over her body. She just stood under the warm shower for a solid 20 mins, her arms against the wall and her body free.

"Hey Lia? Honey the food's going cold. I'm waiting for you!", Mrs. Andrews called out.

"Coming!", Lia gathered her thoughts. Turning off the faucet and patting herself dry with a towel, she stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped herself in a bathrobe. Her hair was wet and the water dropped as she made her way in the room. She felt calm, calmer than she had in those few hours of work. The thoughts just got the best of her but she was feeling better now. She threw her robe on the bed and just pulled a random night dress out of her closet, making her way downstairs.

"Sorry Mom! The shower kinda got longer than I had originally anticipated", Lia began as she pulled one of the chairs out and sat.

"Oh it's okay to reward yourself. You've had a long day anyway", Mrs. Andrews replied, turning the plates over so that they were facing them.

"Thanks", Lia's eyes grew brighter, "You've cooked chicken chops for me?!".

"Perhaps. Cmon now, feast yourself", Mrs. Andrews served a ladle full of chops on Lia's plate.

"Oh my God that's too much Mom—

"Oh quiet. Eat now!", Mrs. Andrews interrupted.

The next couple of minutes passed by quiet, only chewing noises to be heard.

"So....", Mrs. Andrews clicked her tongue.

"Soooo?", Lia took a mouthful of the chicken broth.

"You never told me about your day today. How was it?", Mrs. Andrews questioned. She was exhilarated knowing that Lia worked in such an amazing company.

Lia coughed as soon as she heard the question. She banged her chest with some force to push the choking food down and chugged a whole glass of water.

"Woah careful there", Mrs. Andrews immediately took out a tissue and started wiping Lia's dress, "Are you okay?", she read through Lia's expressions.
