chapter 10 ♣ A special place

Wayne had successfully made me forget about my dream all I can feel are tingles everywhere on my body.

His face suddenly grew serious and he began to slowly trace the contours of my face.

"Don't cry like that again Kate. I enjoy you when you laugh, smile, get angry but I didn't enjoy it at all when you cried. You're most ugly when you cry, crying doesn't fit you at all"

"I know. I don't usually cry either, its just that I haven't really seen my mom in..."

"Follow me" he said quietly interrupting me.

I quietly followed him and he then led me to a backdoor near the palace main hall.

"Open the door Kate" he commanded gently

"Why? What's in there?"

"Why don't you open the door and find out?"

I slowly walked over to the door and slid it open and I gasped in astonishment! I could swear my heart stopped beating for a second. I refused to breathe fearing that everything would go away! Here was the most beautiful place I've ever seen!

A waterfall! Clear blue water falling from a beautiful rocky hill downwards.

Everywhere was filled with very beautiful flowers and I could hear the sound of birds chirping. The land was filled with comfortable, beautiful,green grass that was well maintained and I saw a very beautiful, white rabbit scurry over to a hole to hide!

Here, the air was cool and fresh an the wind blew all the sweat from my body. I was simply mesmerized by the place! One could come here and forget about all your sorrows and pains, you only have to look at this place and they were all gone! You could sleep here or draw here or play here or do any outward activity you want to do and you won't even notice the time passing.

There was a very clear and perfect rainbow in the sky showing all its beautiful colours and I sighed in content.

This place was simply captivating! There were other hills there also covered with the same beautiful and comfortable short grasses. I bet I could play hide and seek here. The place was simply enchanting!

"Wayne! This place is so beautiful! Why didn't you show me this place since?"

"Haha! Relax princess. We just got here today remember?"

"Oh Wayne! Let's move the wedding here"

"What?"

"The reception can be inside the palace but I want the main wedding to be here"

"Uh... Okay. That can be arranged"

"Oh! Thank you so much"

"Come here Kate"

"Uh...why?"

"Why don't you come and find out?"

"Uh... Okay" I slowly walked over to here Wayne was. I slowly walked over to where Wayne was. He then wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and I involuntarily tilted my head backwards to rest on his shoulders. He gently sat down with me still in his arms.

"Wayne?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you"

"Haha! You've already told me thank you before princess"

"No that was for the wedding. I'm thanking you for everything you've done for me so far. I mean don't get me wrong, I still think you're a jerk and an idiot for marrying me in the first place but while you act like a controlling bastard most of the time, I still know you do it for my sake and you have my best interest at heart I know you would never hurt me though sometimes you scare the shit out of me. Thank you for comforting me when I needed you most. After that dream, I was really shaken and broken but you comforted me, thank you"
