Wayne woke up early the next morning, Kate was still sleeping, in his arms.

For the last time his mind couldn't help but add and he sighed. He had to do something, anything to make Kate stay. He had grown to love her so much and if she left now, she was going to shatter his soul. He studied her in her sleeping form, her long lashes peacefully rested as she softly snored, her chest rising up and slowly going down. God! How he loved this woman!

Not being able to help himself, he leaned down her kissed her eyebrows, her closed eye lids, her cheek, her neck, her mouth. God help him, every inch and fibre of his body was drawn to this woman, he couldn't seem to keep his hands off her!

He slowly removed the blanket that was covering her naked form, exposing her luscious, supple breasts and slowly latched unto one rested nipple, sucking on it slowly, savouring the taste until it slowly beaded and she moaned, still in her sleep and he merely smiled against her nipple, gently covering her back as she started to wake up

"Wayne" she said still sleepy-eyed.

He then remembered the slight amnesia she had every morning.

"Hy Kate"

"I'm Katherine not Kate"

"Does it matter? You're leaving me anyway"

"What do you mean I'm leaving you?"

Wayne slowly sighed. He hated to be the one hated to be the one that had to remind her of their problems but he knew he couldn't run from it any longer.

"You were accusing me of murdering your mother, Kate"

"Oh! Right! Get off me you murderer!" She roughly pushed him off her and immediately stood up and started packing her things

"I can't believe I slept with you again Wayne. I can't believe I did that again! You murderer!"

"Kate! I didn't kill your..."

"Shut up! I don't want to hear whatever you have to say!!"

"But you're already accusing and judging without hearing the full story"

"So? You think even if I wanted to know what really happened I'm going to ask you? You're nothing but a liar and a cheat and I was a fool to not have know that. Did you think I wouldn't honestly find out? Did you even imagine that..."

"I love you" he said quietly. Interruptingly

"What did you say?" She asked wide-eyed

"I said that I love you Mrs Katherine Mikaelson"

"No. No. No! You're lying. Just like you've lied about everything else. You're lying now! Can't you for once be honest with me?!"

"I'm being honest with you right now Kate. More honest than I've ever been in my life. I do love you Kate. So much that I don't want to let you leave, to let you go. I can't let you walk out that door. You're the very essence...."

WHAM!

she gave him a very dirty slap. She was boiling now with raw fury. How dare he? She roughly packed her bag and placed it on her shoulder and then stormed off. But not before stopping at the door, turning back and looking at the clearly devastated, handsome guy she had ever loved one last time and saying

"You insulted my mother by killing her but never in your life insult me again... You don't love me. A heart like yours isn't capable of love" a lone tear slid down her cheek and with that she walked out that door and left, shattering his soul.

2 weeks later.....

She had to know the truth! Kate conceded angrily! Even if that meant going back to the castle to meet Wayne then so be it! After everything he had done to her, she at least deserved the truth.

After she had left the castle 2 weeks ago, she went to her Dad's house to stay with her sisters who were also living there because the place was quite big, merely because she didn't want to stay in her own apartment. Sleep in an empty house. She was never going to admit it but yes, she did miss him. Missed him terribly, so much that sometimes, she just sat down and cried her eyes out. Cried that the man she loved had betrayed her. Cried that she couldn't ever be with a man that murdered her mother. Cried that even after all he had done, she still loved him,so much even after he had broken her heart, the shattered pieces were still held captive by him

When she was in her father's house, she was going through her mother's things after having told them the sad news of their mother's death, when she saw her mother's journal. And she read it. Read what led to her mother's death or at least half of it. The incident that had led to her mother's death started even before Wayne or herself was born! It had started with their parents.

Her mother was in love with Wayne's father, the former and late king of England. They were high school lovers and were deeply in love with each other until the late king found out that he was already betrothed to another woman right from when he was small. He tried to explain to his own father that he was already in love with another woman but the king would hear none of it, saying he had to marry princess Arabel to unite the two kingdoms together and so he had no choice but to leave Katerina, the one and only love of his life and marry princess Arabel for the good of the kingdom.

Katerina in anger had gone to marry Lionel Fitzman, a lonely nerd who had a crush on her since they were in kindergarten and had newly inherited his Father's newspaper company "The Fitzman"

She didn't love Lionel and only married him to spite Wayne's father for marrying another woman, and a year later, princess Arabel gave birth to a son and they named him Wayne. Katerina got even more angry but couldn't do anything. But luck was in her way as four years later, Arabel died of a heart disease! She and Wayne's father got back together and started dating secretly without Lionel knowing until Wayne's father had to remarry again according to tradition.
