Here We Go Again

Tyler's Pov
The reaping is in two hours. Right now,We're getting ready. Willows in her room and I'm in mine. Ugh! The last time I was at the reaping I got reaped. I'm praying that they won't pick Caleb.

I mean he's only thirteen and the only weapon he's good with is knives. I know Snow has something planned. I just know it! I go to the Mirror to comb my hair .

Willows Pov
I put on a Jeans and a red sweater. It's to cold outside to were dresses. If yesterday the District was in tension, today it's worse. No one is walking around the street and you could barely here people talk.

I can't blame them, it's the Reaping Day . I just want to get this over with and find out why President Snow is here. I keep praying that they don't pick Caleb or Rachel.

Caleb because he's Too young and Rachel because she's my Bestfriend.
I go downstairs when online with my hair and make up. Tyler is already there.

I'm only manage to eat like 3 or 4 strawberries, because I'm a nervous wreck! The bell rang signaling it's time to go. " are you ready? " Tyler alsed .

" I guess. " I said and we walk out the door. Into the lightly falling snow . Every single person has a long face. No one talking, just looking down.

I hear a peacekeeper say," Girls to the left,.Boys to the right." " See you later "Tyler said giving me a hug. " See you later " I repeated. I go the the line with the other girls.

"Next" the peacekeeper said. Grabbing my hand. She pricks my finger and scans my blood. On the screen of the scanner it said, Willow Mellark, 15.

Then I go and stand next to Rachel in the group of 15 year old Girls and wait for the reaping to start.I see Snow is sitting on the stage. HE looks at me with the same sinister smile he had when he made the

announcement. I Look at Tyler and see him looking at Caleb . Then he looks at me and mouths, You and I'll be safe.

I nod but I can't make myself believe it. Then Effie walks on the stage with The tallest looking heels I've ever seen. And her outfit and hair are purple.

She taps on the microphone 3 times to grab everyone's attention. " Welcome Welcome, to the 77th annual Hunger Games. It is an honor to represent ,District 12.

Now a Message from the Capitol. A Video plays on the Big screen. " War, Terrible war... " is all I hear before I zone out. Why is he here? I keep thinking.

Then I focus on the reaping again. "...and to safe guard our future. " The video ends with the Capitol seal. Effie starts talking again.

" Now to pick the male and female tributes of the 77th Annual Hunger Games, as always Ladies first. " she pulls out a slip and opens it. Every girl is holding there breath, waiting for Effie to read the Name.

Then she reads... "Willow Mellark! " I gasp. This can't be happening to me, not again! I look at snow and see him smiling. Ugh! Only he can enjoy this right now. I look at Tyler as I pass by.

I hear him whisper, "Everything's going to be ok. " I wish that was true but I can't make myself, even consider the fact that everything's going to be alright.

I reach the stage and Effie says," and noe for the boys. " she puts her hand in the bowl. She then get a slip of paper and walks to the microphone ,opening the paper.

" Caleb Dawson! " I gasp. Great now Caleb got reaped. I see Caleb walking towards the stage in shock. Then I see Tyler looking at him. "I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE! " TYLER screamed. I gasp again.

I see him pushing the peacekeepers away. " Tyler, you can't do this. No volunteers remember. " Caleb tells him. " Yes I can. " He said. Pushing his way through the peacekeeper.

"Sir get back into your section. " a peacekeeper said pulling home away. " no, I volunteer. " Tyler said again. " No more volunteering " the peacekeeper said. " Does it look like I care!" TYLER said.

The peacekeeper pulled out his whip and was about to hit Tyler with it when ..." Let him! " President Snow said . " but sir you said-" I know what I said, I said it. Now I'm the president and I'm telling to you to let him volunteer! "

The peacekeeper lets Tyler go and he walks you the stage. " Very well, quite a lot of action this year in District 12." Effie said. "The Make and Female tributes of District 12!.for the 77 the Annual Hunger Games! " Effie said with tears in her eyes.

"The Whole District raise their three middle fingers and do the three-finger solute. I hear someone in the audience ,whisper the four note tune. And then We are taken to separate rooms inside the justice building, where our family and friends can visit and say their last words.
