𝕿he sound of vehicle engines were dampened out when entering the cafe the duo was in. The bright sun shone down on the city, birds flew about in the sky, spiders preying on small insects, and kangaroos jumping around in the wild.
"Haaa..." Sebastian sighed after reclining in his chair. He just finished a dish of French toast and black tea, and so did Ayame.
"How're you feeling now?" Ayame asked in playful curiousity, despite already knowing the answer.
"Amazing. I never knew French food tasted so good."
"Well... The recipe wasn't made by French people, in fact, it existed way before France was a country." Ayame boasted her knowledge of Middleworld's food history, albeit only one dish.
"I see. Then it is false advertisement."
"Y-Yeah, I guess so." She laughed awkwardly.
"Then the tastiness makes sense now." He said, causing Ayame to tilt her head at him.
"Sebby-san.... It's not good to be rascist. I know you hate the French 'cause of everything that happened between the country and England, but it's the future now. Plus, the French are very nice and make good food." Ayame scolded him.
Sebastian stared at her in silence, until he parted his lips to speak.
"I guess you are right. It is extremely foolish of me to harbor ill intent towards a country in a peaceful era that has nothing to do with me anymore."
"Yep, yep. I'm so proud of you, Sebby-san!" She giggled proudly and happily.
While she was laughing, Sebastian peered into her red eyes, admiring such a beautiful color on a more beautiful owner.
"Has anyone said.... that you have extravagant eyes?" He slightly tilted his head and asked.
"Hm?" She immediately stopped laughing and stared at the knight with raised eyebrows.
"It probably has happened a few dozen times already, right?" He asked.
Ayame completely processed what he had said, and her cheeks slightly turned red.
"Actually.... in terms of face-to-face, only twice. From my parents, no less..." She muttered while gradually bowing her head in embarrassment.
"Oh." He exclaimed in surprise with elevated brows.
"H-Hmmn..." She nodded.
"I think your ruby eyes are elegant. Sometimes I get lost in them." He truthfully said.
"T-Thanks..." She timidly said, all of her prior playfulness having replaced with bashfulness.
"Why are you embarrassed? Can you not take compliments well?" He interrogated the Oni.
"....Yesh, I rarely get any kind of compliment said to me. And I don't feel anything from compliments over the net, so..."
"I see. At least now you have a friend to compliment you every now and then." He said with his usual poker face.
"...Thank you, Sebby-san. I'm glad you're my friend." She said, then lifted her head to greet his gaze with an ear-to-ear smile.
"As am I."

Boom, Ayame and Sebastian sat inside a small plane. They were cruising above a huge field, and they both were strapped to an instructor.
"Ya' ready, mate?" Sebastian's instructor asked him with enthusiasm.
"No. This is a bad idea." Sebastian and while shaking his head slowly.
