P.O.V {Giovanni}

"When are you going to finish work? The rest of us want to go try that one... cafe." My bother called me during a meeting with an important investor. Of all the times he chooses now to call.

"Xavier I don't have time for this." I say annoyance clear in my tone.

"You always say that but you're the boss and can take a break whenever you feel like it." Xavier whines. You would think since he's an adult he would act like it. But no. He decides to act like a child all the time.

Midnight. My only sister. She disappeared four years ago and none of us know where she could have gone. There was nothing to trace cause at the time she didn't own any electronic devices. When she left everything went into chaos. Our dad was angry all the time, I didn't know how to cope so I dived into piles of work. Xavier barely came to the house, Silas and the twins were devastated to the point that they gave up on her.

Later on each of us gave up, thinking that she was probably dead by now. After my father got better he decided to get married to Sara are new step-mom who also has a brat of a daughter Rachel.

When they first started coming around I noticed they would leave the room an awful lot just to go find my sister. Then the last time I saw her was when she was accused of slapping Rachel when I know full well that she would never do that.

But dad wasn't so lenient, he marched over to Midnight and slapped her so hard across that face it echoed through the whole house. Then he had Ethan take her to her room. It all happened so fast I just didn't register it in time. Dad. Well I call him by his name now, he lost the right to be called dad. Fernando told everyone to stay away from Midnight except the maids.

One morning a maid from Midnights room barged in with a note in hand. That explained she ran away. My world plummeted.

I should've stood up to my father.

I shouldn't have listened to father when he said ignoring Midnight was for the best.

If only I would've known this would happen, I could've put a stop to it.

My father made a mistake that could never be undone. All because of what he thought was protecting her, was probably hurting her even more.

We never comforted her when mother died. We all took it too far and we can never excuse ourselves from it.

Knocking on my office door breaks me out of my river of thoughts.

"Mr. Medichi, your brothers are here, do you want me to send them up?" My receptionist Leo asks.

I thought I told him I didn't have time for this.

"No. I'm going out with them. Also I need you to clear my schedule for today." I tell Leo

"Yes sir, right away sir," he says somewhat rather quickly.

Slinging my jacket over my arm I zip it up and gather my things. Walking out of my office I get into my personal elevator and press ground level. My brothers are most likely waiting in the lobby.

Stepping out I met with a bone crushing hug by my twin brothers Aiden an Ethan.

"Guess what. Guess what. Guess what," they repeat over and over.

"What?" I ask just wanting this conversation to be over.

"WERE GOING TO THE CAFE!" They yelled. I groan silently. The cafe is actually named The Cafe and it's where our mother used to take us before she passed. It was Midnights favorite place she would want to visit it all the time.

"Okay. Let's go." Adriano says, skipping towards that door earning him a few curious glances by the people in the lobby.

We walk over to our cars and the twins come with me. It takes maybe 15 minutes to get there and if theres traffic then it would take 20 minutes.

================================================================================

Parking my car in a parking garage I walk down the sidewalk towards the cafe with the twins trailing behind me. Once we're at the entrance I look around and spot Xavier, Adriano, and Silas slowly making their way over to us. before I could turn back I see Xavier getting hit upside the head by Adriano.

We're all together but it's silent. No one knows what to say. So we walk into the cafe silently and Adriano walks us over to the other side of the cafe and sits us down inside a booth. Nothing is said but we all understand.

Looking over the room I notice some things never changed.

Like the coffee brown paint that is slowly fading. The different types of chairs.

Also how that layout never changed.

But what I notice the most is that little plaque on the side of a table that has our mothers name. We came here so often that when they heard that she died they put it in memory of her. Slowly running my eyes over it they drift up to meet the back of a girl. She looked so familiar but I couldn't guess from where. Brushing it off I focus on my brothers conversation. But I couldn't help but glance once more at the girl who looked not even a little older than 14.

I was speechless.

Those same green eyes with raven black hair along with that little button nose.

It was Midnight.

I was stuck in a trance. She's alive. Is all that rang through my head.

But I didn't miss a beat when I saw my little sister reach her hand over and grab someone else's. A BOY!! She just grabbed HIS hand. I felt my jaw clench. Who does this boy think he is to hold my sisters hand. After everything why. No, how could she just forget about us. Her old life. How frivolous could she be? I don't really understand the actions she chose when Midnight decided to run. We weren't that tough on her. Were we?

Someone shouting causes me to snap out of the whirlwind of thoughts racing through my mind. Looking at the booth my sister was sitting at I don't see them at all anymore.

The commotion grabbed everyones attention. People started frantically moving out of the way as the couple race out of the cafe. My instincts kicked in and I was first to participate in the chase.

As I rush to get out of my seat, she turns her gaze to me. Those deep green eyes flitter over me and my brothers before she turns and sprints out the cafe.

Only one thing ran through my mind.

I'm not going to lose her again.

Never again.

She needs to realize that we will find her.

No matter the cost.
