Chongyun POV:

It was the first day back at school. The first day is always the worst since you get so used to not having to be here that you lack the motivation to do anything,

I finished getting ready for school and then walked to the bus stop, Xingqiu wasn't taking the bus today, his parents were back and so they made sure he was driven to school.

I sat at the back of the bus on my own as usual and daydreamed out of the window until the bus arrived at school, Xingling had sat with her friends again today so I was by myself,

The bus arrived at school and I stepped off and walked into the building and to my form room,

I went to my locker to find Bennett by his locker, we were in the same class for most subjects and our lockers were near eachother, that's how we became friends in the first place,

"Hi Bennett." I greeted as I opened my locker to get my books,

"Hey!" He smiled, closing his locker and then walking up to me,

"How was your break?" I asked, as we walked to Homeroom,

"It was pretty cool, I'm dating Razor now by the way!" He smiled,

"Woah woah woah what?! When did that happen?!" I asked, shocked,

"Well I was planning on asking him out during the break but he beat me to it and well... yeah!" He laughed,

"Good for you!" I responded, still a little in shock,

We entered Homeroom and took our seats, we were next to echother in the corner at the back, unfortunately we weren't by the window, we were by the wall,

The teacher walked in and started talking about something, I don't know what since I wasn't paying attention, she usally just talked about homework, exams and all that stuff but then she said something that caught my attention,

"Focusing on your mental health is really important at this stage in your life, a lot more people struggle with it then you think, like for example depression, in Teyvat 13% of teenagers suffer with depression."

That's what caught my attention, the word depression, I remembered what Xingqiu had told me, he had depression...

I started thinking about it alot for the rest of the day, what I could do to help, how I could know when he was having a bad day, so I decided to do some research,

After school I went to the library, Xingqiu came with me of course but instead of following him around like I usally did, I started looking for books on mental health,

I went up to the librarian whilst Xingqiu was looking for a certain book and asked where I could find books on depression, she took me over to where they were and I began looking through them, I found one that was specifically about depression in teenage boys and decided to check this one out, so when Xingqiu checked out his book I quickly checked mine out, trying not to let him notice, I didn't want him to see incase he thought that I only saw him as his depression,

I mean that's the exact reason I didn't want anyone knowing about my condition, incase they couldn't see past it, and I didn't want to make him upset,

We walked out of the library and his driver picked us up, we had decided to stay at mine tonight since his parents were having a meeting and we didn't want to disturb them,

We got to my room and Xingqiu sat on the bed, looking at his new book,

"What's your book about?" I asked him as he flicked through the pages,

"Ah, it's the sequel to 'young and hopelessly smitten' in this one he is looking for the person he fell in love with last time because they had to part ways." He smiled, not looking up from the book,

"Sounds interesting," I replied,

"It is, now yun yun, have you got any homework?" He asked, I was a little confused as to why he was asking about homework but I answered anyway,

"No I don't, why?"

"Just curious." He shrugged, then he got comfy in my bed and read his book,

I took the opportunity to sit on the floor and read my book, hoping he wouldn't see,

I read through the book and found out a bunch of good information,

Like how depression and anxiety usally come hand in hand, and how people with depression sometimes have 'low spoon days' where they feel like they can't get up and have no motivation to do anything,

There was a lot more information and I was turning the page when I felt a tap on my shoulder,

"Yun yun I read 3 chapters and I'm too tired to read more, what are you reading about?" He asked, kicking his legs,

I slammed the book shut and hid it under my bed,

"Oh nothing- just- uh- exorcist stuff." I tried to make a good excuse but I failed miserably because Xingqiu didn't believe me for a second,

"Yeah right! Why are you hiding it from me? Was it something dirty?" He giggled running his hand through my hair,

"Wha- No!" I half yelled, turning a deep shade of red,

"Hmmm... ok! Well if I really can't know at least come up and sit on the bed with me!" He demanded, rolling about,

I sighed and then stood up and got on the bed with the other boy,

He giggled and then patted my head, he was being really touchy today which was a little new,

Sure he was usally touchy but never this touchy,

"Can I help you?" I laughed a little as he was practically climbing on me,

"Yes you can!" He smiled, "You can gimme a kisss~"

I blushed a little and then took his face and pulled it towards my own, I kissed him, he smiled into the kiss which sent butterflies into my stomach,

"Oh yun yun, you are truly amazing." He spoke as he pulled away from the kiss,

"So are you, Xingqiu."

Sorry everyone that I didn't update the past few days, all the writing was giving me an hedache 😅

And also I'm sorry if this chapter was kind of boring but I promise the next chapter will be more interesting, also if you have any ideas on stuff that can happen feel free to comment them!!
