Tw// mention of suicide, death

Chongyun POV:

After a few days of waking up feeling like shit, I finally woke up and felt normal, apart from a slight headache I felt fine, I looked at the clock to see how late I had woken up and I almost audibly groaned when I saw it was 3:56am, Seriously!?

Xingqiu was sleeping peacefully next to me and Alaska was laying by his feet, I had started to like that cat a little, he smelled like Xingqiu and he was nice and soft and cuddly, although I wouldn't admit it.

I lay down to try and go back to sleep, I wanted to catch every second of sleep I could!! I decided since I felt better I would risk cuddling into Xingqiu, the chances of me overheating now were hopefully lower so I snuggled into his chest and wrapped my arms around him, I think by reflex he returned the gesture even though he was still asleep, and sure enough, once I was in his arms, I fell asleep quickly.

about 5 hour later I woke up, still in Xingqiu's arms, it was now 9am and he was still asleep, I decided to wake him up because I was frustratingly bored and after about 5 seconds of aggressive poking, he woke up.

"Yun Yun, stop that!!!" he whined sleepily, gently slapping my hand away from his face,

I laughed a little and then did as he asked,

"Are you feeling better?" he asked as he wiped his eyes before sitting up,

"Mhm, Much better!" I replied,

"Well, Shenhe said as long as you fully recover from this fever in time we can go back to school next week.." he informed,

"You know what... suddenly I feel sick again."

"Oh don't be silly Yun, we only have to go for 2 weeks and then its spring break!"

"Yeah but we could just... not." I huffed, I didn't want to go back to school, as much as I missed Bennett and Razor school was always so stressful and I'd much rather stay home with Xingqiu but of course that's not an option.

The last few days before we had to go back went by and waking up knowing I had to go to school made me feel a little sick.

When we arrived at school we walked in together which made everythinga little better since I wasn't alone and I had someone to distract myself from the whispering in the halls now.

The second we entered the school building all eyes were on us... Well.. me.

I started to worry about Xingqiu since I knew how much he hated being watched and it got even worse when everyone started crowding us with questions.

"We thought you were dead!"

"Where were you???"

"We missed you so much!"

"I heard they ran away together."

"I heard they committed double suicide!!"

"I heard they..."

The words all faded away when I saw how upset Xingqiu looked, I decided to drag him away from the crowd and as usual nobody noticed us leaving until we were gone, we went straight to our homeroom and sat at our usual seats.

"Are you ok?" I asked, not letting go of his hand,

"Yeah.. that was just... scary." He responded shakily,

"I know... but its ok, they're gone now."

"Yeah..." the bell rang and all the students poured into our classroom,
