Pokemon: New Beginnings

Chapter 10:

~Episode 10: Fairytale Festival!~

"So...what happens now?" Akiza asks looking at Travis. He smiles a small smile and says "They will gather around and they'll discuss about this year's theme of it should be".

They nod and they go towards the group of well dressed but fairytale-like people.

"What should we do this year?" asked a girl wearing mermaid attire. "Yeah, it must be a show stopper, a spectacular!" a boy wearing an knight's outfit added.

"Maybe we should do retelling of the stories" one said. "But we did last year, we can't repeat!" another argues.

It was silent for a while till a voice said "How about a battle?" they all turn to the owner of the voice...it was Akiza!

"A battle?" the mermaid girl asks with a raised eyebrow. Akiza nods in response. "Who are you? I haven't seen any of you before?" an elderly woman asks.

"Name's Akiza Ketchum, and this is my partner Chuchu" Akiza replied. Chuchu jumps on her shoulder and says "Pi!".

"I'm Kaguya Mizuki" Kaguya says blankly. Then the blue haired boy smiled and takes a bow "And I'm Travis".

But Yong-Sun Degn stayed silent. "This is Yong-Sun Degn, he doesn't talk much" Akiza explains.

The knight nods and walks towards them. "A battle...that doesn't sound like a bad idea and the others who don't want to battle can perform the plays and use their pokemon in it as well" he replies.

Everyone looks at each other and agrees to this idea. So Travis gets in an prince outfit, Kaguya wears an outfit making her look like the beautiful Cinderella, and Yong-Sun Degn is wearing a knight's uniform similar to Unova's.

"What's taking Akiza so long?" Travis asks looking around for the raven-haired girl.

Kaguya shrugs "No idea, maybe she's still changing" she replies.

I think I've found her Yong-Sun tells them pointing to a girl dressed in the outfit making her look like the lovely Arabian princess from the famous Aladdin.

It was blue with tints of green and gold.

And her hair was up in a side ponytail.

Travis was blushing red as a tomato while Kaguya was giggling at his reaction with Yong-Sun smiling.

"I feel so weird, dressing up" Akiza told them pouting. Kaguya rolls her eyes "You'll get used to it" she replies.

"Alright everyone!" The manager of the gardens says happily "It's time for the Fairytale Festival to commence and I hope that everyone will have a good time!".

The manager explained what it was like and the history behind Fae Gardens and it's festival.

"So enjoy your time here and let's give it all we got!" the manager concludes.

Akiza nods and along with her friends, they get started.

Some were acting out while the others were practicing battling or showcasing their pokemon's moves.

"Alright ChuChu, let's show them what we got!" Akiza says excitedly. "Pi,Pichu!" ChuChu replies climbing on it's trainer's shoulders.

"I think I'm up first, so let's do this" Travis tells them then looks at his pokemon, Piplup.

"Pip,Piplup!" his Piplup says happily.

So they head on stage showing off their moves then it was time for their opponent.

It was a kid around their age, maybe older by a year or two.

He was wearing an costume making him look like an evil wizard. "Get ready to feel my wrath young prince!" he yells.

Kaguya leans towards Akiza and whispers "He seems to act the part doesn't he?".

Akiza giggles in response.

Travis nods "We'll just see about that you evil wizard! Go Piplup!" he yells and Piplup jumps in.

The evil wizard nods "Come on out Gunkero!" he yells, throwing his pokeball.

A pokemon came out.

It seems small about two feet long, height and width. It looks like an urchin that is blue.

"Wow! What kind of pokemon is that?!" Akiza thinks out loud.

She takes out her pokedex and points it to the pokemon.

It says:

"Gunkero, The Poison Urchin Pokemon, A shy pokemon but are fierce fighters. Their darts are poisonous, so much so that they drip with poison, but are fragile, but another will grow back if snapped off.

It dreams of becoming bold and strong.

Even though it has no eyes, it has excellent senses and they're not fast."

"These poke entries are long huh?" Akiza asks with a sweatdrop. "Well Mewna's pokedex's are like that" Kaguya laughs nervously.

"Remember, the last pokemon down will be the winner, so...let the games begin!" the announcer yells.

"Let's battle!" they both yell at the same time.

Little did they know that a certain group of teens are waiting for them...
