Georgia -

I was sitting out on the patio out in the backyard of the giant house me and the other states called home. It was a warm sunny day out today and I was resting in one of the chairs under the shade. I watched some of my siblings run around yelling and chasing each other as I felt a light and cooling summer breeze occasionally pass by. I breathed in the fresh air that surrounded me, something that I've begun to cherish ever since air pollution started going crazy. I visited up north with some of the other states and was not prepared for all the smog and smoke that covered the sky's, of course there was a few occasions where we saw the sky, and those views were beyond beautiful.

I watched as some other states came up to the patio and walked over to me. More specifically Massachusetts and Virginia.
"Hey Georgia." Virginia greeted happily.
"Hey V, Mass," I replied with a nod, "What'd y'all need?"
"The Carolina's made sweet tea, want any?" He asked as he pointed back towards the kitchen.
"Sure," I replied and he started walking back.
Massachusetts stayed where he was standing though as he began thinks of something. He crossed his arms and looked towards the ground as his expression turned curious.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked, looking towards my younger brother.
"Well, you know how Britain—" Mass began before I cut him off with a groan.
If you ever found Mass thinking on something, he was most likely thinking of Britain. And not in a good way, most of the time he was plotting things to get at him. As you could easily tell, he wasn't quite over the Revolution, that and a few other wars, but none of us could truly hold it against him. Besides most of us weren't on very good terms with him. We don't exactly do well with him, the countries he's made up of, however, are fine with us though.
"You know how Britain's a tea maniac," Mass began, I nodded and he continued, "well, what'd you think would happen if he tried some of the south's famous sweet tea?"
I looked at him, not quite understanding, "What are you saying?"
"Why don't we have another tea party," He said with a smile.

Just then Virginia got back with a sweet tea in each hand. He walked over and handed me one. I nodded a thanks as I took it from him and he looked seriously at me and Mass as he read the room.
"What's up with y'all?" He asked.
"Mass," I said, looking at him to further explain his plan.
"Well, I want Georgia to call Britain and invite him to a little... tea party..." Mass began.
"After the last one you held?" Virginia asked with a light laugh in his voice.
"Yes, but this time a bit different," Mass stated, "So, will you do it?"
"Why me?" I asked.
"Because out of all the original thirteen, Britain trusts you the most,"
"That ain't saying much Mass..."
"But still," Virginia said as he handed me a phone, "it'd be fun even to see even if doesn't work."
"Wow," Mass laughed, "Even V agree's with my idea... that's a first..."

I sighed in defeat before taking the phone and dialing Britains number. I waited a moment or two.
"Has he picked up yet?" Mass asked, already impatient.
"No, and doubt he wi—" I cut my self off at the sound of the phone being picked up.
"Hello?" I heard a voice I recognized to be Britain's speak through the other end.
"H-hi Britain," I said as I stared wide eyed at my two brothers.
"Georgia?!" He exclaimed, I was surprised he could even recognize my voice.
"Yes,"
"Well, what is it," He said snappily.
"Uh, well I- me and a few other states wanted to know if you'd like to join us for, uh, tea?" I said trying to hide the nervousness in my voice.
There was a long pause as I silently prayed he wouldn't yell through the phone and break my eardrum.
He finally answered, "Yes, what time would you like me to come over?"
"Any time will work, see you, bye!" I said quickly as I hung up as fast as I could, not giving him any time to respond.

"So?" Mass asked.
"He said yes." I told him and he smiled.
"I'll go tell the Carolina's to make some extra tea," Virginia said with a smile as he turned to leave, leavening me to think over the mess I've just gotten myself into.
