Haruto and Doyoung walked back to the previous table, hand in hand. Their locked hands, shy smiles, red cheeks and somewhat swollen lips gave everyone the idea that they reconciled, maybe did more than that.
No one asked directly, but everyone looked at them in question. Haruto eyed them, and felt like clarifying once he saw Jeongwoo's worry-plastered face.
"We- we made up." Haruto spoke. Hyunjin looked amused.
"Or you made out?" He asked.
Doyoung's eyes flared up and he immediately looked down. Yeonjun suppressed his smile. Junkyu and Jeongwoo made a brief eye contact, and Haruto looked at Doyoung's face fondly.
"That's a relief though." Hyunjin said, "I mean, I kinda felt guilty, but I provoked him so that you two talk, you know, you looked like you needed it."
"Thanks," Haruto genuinely said. Hyunjin returned with a smile.
"Now that everything's settled, why don't we drink some more?" Yeonjun cheered. The three of them went for beer and the rest three, once again, abstained.
All the time they stayed there, Haruto didn't let go of Doyoung's hand. He held it under the table, intertwining their fingers together.
"Thanks for inviting us, hyung. We enjoyed so much." Jeongwoo said to Yeonjun as they were about to leave.
"You guys are always welcome here!" Yeonjun exclaimed, smiling at all of them. They talked and bid goodbye soon, leaving the luxurious house.
"Did you guys have fun?" Junkyu asked.
"We did." Haruto smiled. He still had Doyoung's hand in his grip. And Doyoung, he was so smitten for Haruto that he stood close to the taller, hiding himself in a small frame as he held Haruto's sleeve with one hand. Junkyu found that cute.
"I'm so happy for you guys!" Junkyu suddenly said. Jeongwoo nodded too. They didn't have to announce it, the audience easily realized.
"Thanks." Haruto said, once again staring fondly at Doyoung's red cheeks. How badly he wanted to kiss them!
"Okay, then let's go! You guys can take the backseat."
You may think it's Junkyu's polite nature to let the couple sit in privacy. That's true; but he did it for himself too, as he'd get Jeongwoo sitting next to him. Haruto noticed that. So he agreed.
The ride went almost silent. Doyoung was busy in his own world filled with fantasy and timid love, Jeongwoo was still lost in imagination, about Junkyu and him. Junkyu was, of course busy driving, but his mind raced as he glanced at the fine young boy by his side again and again. And Haruto, poor him was only thinking about leaving Doyoung in two days. It hurt him every time, and his grip on Doyoung's hand tightened every time.
Junkyu stopped in front of Haruto's place, at the instruction of the latter.
"Thanks for the ride, hyung." Haruto politely spoke.
"Don't worry." Junkyu smiled. Then looked at Doyoung. The younger was still in the car, but looking curiously at Haruto who left his hand and got off the car.
"Doyoungie, you wanna stay over?" Haruto asked. Junkyu smirked and Doyoung looked shy.
"I guess..." He answered. Haruto smiled and pulled him out by the arm.
"You guys!" Junkyu teased, "Best of luck in whatever you do."
Haruto shook his head, and showed a thumbs up to both Junkyu and Jeongwoo. "You guys as well, best of luck. Get home safe."
