Doyoung was complaining nonstop as to why Jeongwoo brought him outside literally at 8 pm. He was whining, giving excuses that he had so much work to do, honestly, he just didn't like hanging out with Jeongwoo to see something 'interesting' when he could be chatting with his girlfriend lying comfortably on his bed.
And he became even more annoyed as soon as he saw Haruto waiting outside.
"Are you trying to make us reconcile? Because I'm not gonna talk to him ever again!" He spoke. Jeongwoo just rolled his eyes.
As him and Doyoung went near Haruto, the elder waved at his best friend. Doyoung didn't wave back, rather, kept facing the other side.
"What are we doing here?" He asked, his tone a bit impatient.
"We'll go somewhere and-"
Haruto couldn't finish as Doyoung interrupted, "Go where? Jeongwoo told me he'd show me something really interesting, that's why I came here. I'm not going anywhere!"
"Look, it's not here. We have to go to a certain place to see it." Jeongwoo clarified.
"I won't go with you." Doyoung said strongly. He started walking towards his house, but Jeongwoo grabbed his hand.
"You have to."
"No I don't!" Doyoung protested, squiggled his hand in Jeongwoo's grip. But the younger didn't let go.
"Why are you doing this with me?" He shouted, "Can't you just let me be? I know I shouted at you in front of everyone, but you don't have to bully me like this, Ruto!"
Haruto looked shocked, "We aren't bullying you, we're trying to help you."
"Help? I don't need any help from you!" Doyoung spoke, "And you! Let go of me!" He said to Jeongwoo. But Jeongwoo was stubborn, he tightened his grip.
"I'm telling you you're-"
A car stopped in front of the three. Jihoon came at the promised time. Jeongwoo felt glad. He was really annoyed listening to Doyoung complain.
"Let's get in." He said.
"Where are you taking me? I won't get in!" Doyoung struggled. Jeongwoo gestured Haruto to help him force the boy inside. Doyoung was being excessively loud, so Jeongwoo even shut his mouth with his palm. Haruto didn't want to comply, but they had to make Doyoung see the truth, for his own sake.
They put him in between them at the backseat of the car. The moment Doyoung's mouth was free, he started shouting.
"What the hell? What did I ever do to you?" He sounded scared even. It broke Haruto's heart. Standing in his shoe, it was really scary when two of your friends you recently fought with throw you inside an unfamiliar car at night.
"Doyoung ah, relax. Trust us, okay?" He softly said. The car started. Jihoon drove to the bar Haruto first saw Hyeri with another man.
"Trust you? After everything you did? You just-"
"Yah!" Jihoon scolded from the driver's seat. "Just shut up, you dumbass! You want me to run over people on the street? Stop and let me focus."
Doyoung did lower his volume, but didn't shut up completely. "Ruto, at least tell me where you're taking me!"
Haruto clenched his jaw shut. Should he disclose it to Doyoung yet? Would he believe it? In the end, he didn't talk. Doyoung looked at him with expectation for a long time. When he realized that the younger wasn't gonna say anything, he sighed. He kind of expected a bad outcome, and he believed he deserved that. Because he kept feeling guilty after insulting Haruto in front of everyone.
