Haruto woke up to the feeling of someone calling him softly. It took him a while to process that he held onto someone, particularly bare skinned in his arm, and the said person was lightly whispering in his ears with his rough morning voice.
"Ruto, wake up."
Haruto opened his eyes. A smile formed on his face immediately, aside from all the doubts and worries. He saw Doyoung lying next to him, snuggling close to his chest with the blanket covering almost his entire body.
Haruto pulled him closer, facing him, hugging his frame from under the blanket.
Doyoung giggled, "Come on, we're gonna be late."
"Today's Sunday~" Haruto mumbled in Doyoung's neck.
"No, it's Monday you dummy." Doyoung corrected him.
"Hmmm..."
"Ruto, we really need to get up."
Haruto opened his eyes and stared into Doyoung's, who looked happy. Content. And a tad bit shy. Smiling, Haruto left a kiss on his forehead.
"Are you doing okay?" He asked. It took a while for Doyoung to realize what he meant. His cheeks heated up as he did. He lightly hit Haruto on the chest. "Shut up! Don't talk about that!"
Haruto smiled wider, pulling Doyoung in him again. "Why not hmm??"
Fighting off the shyness, Doyoung spoke again, "Whatever, get up now so we can go to school in time."
Haruto showed no sign of waking up though. He looked up and stared at Doyoung's beautiful face.
"Let's ditch school today."
Doyoung looked a bit surprised. Haruto wasn't someone to carelessly ditch school, that too on Monday!
"Eh?"
"What? It's not like we'd never done it before!" Haruto said, "Besides, I'm worried about you."
"Worried for what? I'm- wait! Ruto! I said stop talking about that!!" Doyoung hit Haruto's arm a bit stronger this time. Haruto held it in pain, but laughed nonetheless.
"It's gonna look suspicious if you keep limping, you know." Haruto winked.
"Ruto I swear!" Doyoung pushed Haruto with his might, slapping him all over the chest. Laughing, Haruto withstood those. He ended up hugging Doyoung again with apologies.
"Okay, okay, I won't speak anymore!"
Doyoung looked redder than before. It was already hard for him to wake up first and see his naked body wrapped around Haruto's. He felt so shy and exposed, yet so happy for last night! He kinda got why people were so obsessed with their loved ones. After everything, he didn't think he'd be okay if Haruto ever left him.
Haruto brushed through Doyoung's hair, carefully taking in his facial features. Doyoung met eyes with him soon. They were so immersed in looking at each other that none realized when a streak of tear ran down the corners of Haruto's eyes.
Only when he sniffed did Doyoung see that his man was crying.
"Why do you keep crying?" Doyoung wiped the tears away with his thumb. Haruto took control of himself. With few more sniffs,he stopped.
"It's... Nothing. What time is it now?"
"Almost 8." Doyoung replied.
"You wanna sleep a bit more or you wanna wake up and-"
"Are we really ditching school?" Doyoung asked. Haruto nodded. "Yep, school sounds boring."
'Because it's the last day of mine with you- and I'm scared you'd be unsafe out of this place.'
