Mirana's POV

I woke up feeling a lot of different emotions. I was excited that people could see and feel me. I was nervous because it was my first day of high school. Well, technically, it's my second first day of this high school. And that brings us to my next emotion: overwhelmed. From what Flynn said on Friday, people will want to talk to me about new songs to play.

I quickly poofed to the studio and threw some darts at the dart board. That seems to be the only thing that hasn't changed. Luke and I had it when we were still alive. We used to take our anger out on it. Sometimes we would miss, and it would get lodged into the wood behind the board, splitting the wood. All weekend, Luke, Julie and I have been writing songs. It was fantastic. Julie is a very talented artist. Although, I did notice a connection between my brother and my best friend.

'Hey, you ok?' I turned around and saw Reggie.

'Yeah, why'd you ask?'

'You split the wood again, with the dart. What's bothering you? You only go to the board if things are too much for you. And you're using the black dart. You only use that one if nothing else is working.'

I smiled at his observations. 'I'm nervous about today. People are gonna pester me about songs, and the teachers might recognise me. So many things could go wrong. Plus, I don't even know what I'm gonna wear.'

'I can help you with that last one, but for the first two, things will happen how they happen. Just focus on enjoying your day. Come on, let's go pick out a badass outfit for my badass best friend!' He grabbed my hand and poofed me over to my clothes.

'I thought Luke was your best friend?'

'His sister is so much cooler.' I felt my cheeks heat up. He started to rummage through my clothes. He started to hand me different clothes. 'Put that on!' I poofed to the bathroom and got changed. Once I had the outfit on, I poofed out. 'It's missing something.' He poofed up to the loft. He rummaged around for a little, before he came down, a black leather jacket in his hand.

'What's that?' He held up the jacket and spun it around. I gasped when I saw what jacket he had. 'I-I can't take that! That's one of your favourite jackets!'

'You don't have a choice.' He came over and put it on me. He was right, it did add the finishing touch to the outfit. 'I could also do your hair if you want.'

'Sure.'

'Really?'

'Yeah.' Once he finished, I looked at myself in the mirror.
