Chapter 1 - Settling in

Percy P.O.V
Today was the day. The day me and my mom decide to go somewhere to have a break for a while. You may be wondering why. Well, I'm a demigod. My dad is Poseidon, one of the big three Greek gods. Because of that, I have been getting into all sorts of trouble since I was twelve, now I'm Almost 18. Because of the Giant war and everything else that happened my mom decided it was time for a fresh start, just to take a couple months away from all of the mythology stuff. 

I was headed to Thalia's Pine tree to say my final goodbyes to the seven and my girlfriend, Annabeth. I told them about our plans to have a break and they all understood, now was the hard part, saying goodbye. "Are you sure you'll be ok bro? You won't need me to ya know? Whip up something to help stray any possible monsters away?" Leo implied. "No Leo I promise, mom says her sister Melissa told her everything over there is completely normal and nothing over there will harm us" I insured. "Make sure to iris message us daily! We will all miss you ya know!" Piper pitched in. I smiled and nodded, we all gave each other a huge group hug. "Please be safe Seaweed Brain, if anything happens to you, please tell us and we will be there to help you all we can!" Annabeth said, slight tears in her eyes. "Of course I will  Wise Girl! If you guys get any new prophecies or anything like that iris message me immediately" I added. Everyone nodded. I gave Annabeth a quick kiss and went down the hill to meet my mom in the car. I waved up to my friends as they waved back, and with that, we slowly pulled out of the small road and out on the main road, headed to beacon hills.

After a few hours we saw the welcome sign to Beacon Hills and saw a few shops, the school (yayyyy ✨sarcasm activate✨), the hospital and the sheriffs department. Not gonna lie this was a pretty big town, but that just means more places to explore! After exiting the main road we pulled up to a pretty big house, looked about two storeys. This must've been my cousins house, Scott McCall. My mom said he's the captain of the lacrosse team at his school. Apparently that's the most popular sport here so I don't think there's a lot of swim teams I could join, but I guess I could try lacrosse, can't be that hard to do. Anyways we headed up to the door and my mom knocked on the door. After she knocked, a woman who looked identical to her opened the door. "Sally! Welcome to beacon hills! It's been way too long, it's about time we caught up! Oh Percy you've gotten big! You and Scott should be the same age now! Come in! We can sort out the luggage in a bit, for now we can catch up for loss of time!" Melissa said. It's great to see her again after so long, I guess since I figured out I'm a demigod we never got to meet up for a while, but it's refreshing to see her again. As Scott comes down the starts I start to get a sort of whiff from him, something not normal in anyway, kind of like a  wet dog but powerful. It seems familiar but I shrug it off. "Percy!" Scott exclaimed. "Scott! It's been way too long, how are you?" I replied, giving him a bear hug. "Been good, what about you?" Scott asked, "been good too. I can't wait to meet your friends here, aunt Melissa said they are all good friends." "Oh they are! You have no idea." He said but that last part was a bit muttered so I kinda missed it. "Ditto." "Here let me help you settle in!" He offered. "Thanks man! Let's go!" I reply. I'm gonna have a blast here, what could possibly go wrong in this town?

Scott P.O.V
When my mom told me aunt Sally and my cousin Percy were coming to visit for a couple months, I'll admit I was a little nervous, mostly cause I don't want Percy finding out about the supernatural here. Mom reassured me she didn't tell aunt Sally anything about it which is relieving, I just want what's best for my pack. Being the alpha kinda makes me responsible for them. Then the door knocked, that must be them. My mum answered the door and I heard voices, most likely my aunt and my cousin. I peered down the stairs and I just remembered how similar mom and aunt Sally look, just their eyes are different, I guess that's the same for me and Percy, his eyes were a shade of green whilst mine were a hazelnut kind of colour. As I was on the stairs my mom called up for me and I went down. As I approached Percy I noticed a sort of salty sort of sent about him, like salt water from the ocean, which was perfectly aligned with a light aura of power, that kind of threw me off a bit, then I realised the shade of green his eyes were, they were sea green, like the ocean was. I got a little more curious but I quickly shrugged it off, I didn't want to accuse my cousin as anything bad. "Percy!" I exclaimed. "Scott! It's been way too long, how are you?" He replied, giving me a bear hug. "Been good, what about you?" I asked, "been good too. I can't wait to meet your friends here, aunt Melissa said they are all good friends." "Oh they are! You have no idea." I said but I muttered the last part, hoping he didn't hear me. "Ditto." "Here let me help you settle in!" I offered. "Thanks man! Let's go!" He replied.

After grabbing Percy's stuff from the car, we entered my room, Percy set his stuff down by the door and started to unpack. "I hope you don't mind sharing a room with me, apparently I drool when I sleep" he said slightly chuckling to himself, he must've thought of a memory from that summer camp his mom mentioned. "That's ok, as long as it's not snoring then I'm all good." I added with a smile. Then we heard a knock on my window. "Knock knock. I know coming through the window, dreadful edict I know." A voice said, I then realised that voice was Stiles, my best friend, and also part of the pack, even though he's a human he's like a brother to me. "Hey stiles, what's up?" I reply "just coming to say hello to your cousin. So is this him? Damn he looks just like you, it's just the eye colour that's different" he said, clearly intrigued by him. "Hey! My names Perseus, but please just call me Percy, my full name is way too formal for my liking." Percy said, extending his hand to shake Stiles's. "What's up? I'm Stiles, well it's my nickname but my first name is wayyyy to hard to pronounce so I prefer my nickname. Glad to see a fellow nickname user." Stiles said shaking Percy's hand. "By the way, isn't Perseus a famous Greek demigod hero from Greek Mythology? How come you're named after him?" Stiles asked. I actually never realised, mostly cause I don't understand a lot of mythology stuff besides the supernatural stuff, which isn't too far off but back on track. "O-oh! Um, my mom just really liked mythology and since Perseus was known for having good luck she named me that so I could have good luck! Guess it didn't work too much based on my life so far." Percy said, pretty hesitantly might I add, that part was a little weird but I let it slide. "That's awesome dude! I was just named after my grandfather. Your name is cooler." Stiles added amazed. "Anyways, I'd better get going, but I'll see you guys tomorrow? Scott, I'll text you where we are meeting and you can tell mister Perseus here!" Stiles said, being formal with Percy earned him a pillow to the face. "I told you to call me Percy!" Percy laughed. Stiles and I laughed too and with that Stiles left. After setting up beds and saying our good nights to each other, Percy and I drifted into sleep. Tomorrow will be interesting to say the least.
