Chapter 5 - Knowledge is power

Stiles P.O.V
"Dad do you know anything about Greek Mythology?" I say as I start to explain everything to him.  After explaining everything from Percy's story to what's happening now, he finally spoke. "Ok, so from what I'm gathering, Scott's cousin, is a Greek demigod who got bitten and is now a siren? And this ancient werewolf is responsible?" He carefully asked me. I nodded. He rubbed the bridge of his nose, probably indicating that he's thinking over it all. "Alright stiles, I'll take your word for it, but for now we should just think of this animal as just an overgrown wolf." He said. I nod and head up the stairs. Once I get into My room I just flop down on the bed and think over the events in my head, until sleep comes to me.

The next morning

I was woken up by my alarm clock. '7:30', *sigh* school starts soon. So I got up and got dressed. I went down stairs to grab a piece of toast and ran out the door to my jeep and drove to school. I looked at my phone clock and saw that the time was 8:00. I had 45 minutes till school started so I just waited outside until my friends started to show up. After about ten minutes I saw Scott and Percy drive up on Scott's dirt bike. I ran over to them and greeted them. "So perce you excited for school?" I said jokingly. "Nah, I've already been kicked out of too many for me to count so I would not be surprised if it happened again. So I'm not too thrilled about another school." Percy said, slightly complaining. "Well don't worry Seaweed Brain, you have us to keep you company." A voice said behind us. As the three of us turned around I saw 6 people, all of them different from each other. One was short and elvish, another looked muscular but had a baby face, one looked like a blonde super man, and the girls just looked like standard girls. Percy seemed to recognise them and immediately ran towards them. "Guys! I'm so glad you could come! Scott, stiles, this is the seven. Or in other terms, the heroes of Olympus." Percy announced. "I think we saw you guys on those iris messages before! It's great to meet you guys personally. I'm Scott, this is Stiles." Scott introduced us to the seven. They all introduced themselves and we started walking to the main locker hall way.

As we were walking we saw Lydia, Liam, Kira and Malia there. "Hey guys! These are Percy's friends, the ones we told you about" Scott told the pack. They all did introductions and all gave eachother our schedules. "Perfect! We all have the same free periods. So we can discuss the mythological/supernatural stuff then" Lydia said. We all nodded in agreement and walk to our first classes. Percy, Leo, Lydia, Annabeth and I all had the same classes together. So we all walked to our first one; maths. Percy and Leo groaned and continue to walk, when the bell rings for class to start, Percy doubles over and covers his ears. "Percy! Are you ok?!" Annabeth cried concerned. Shoot, Scott and I forgot to warn him that the sensitivity of his hearing will be hard at first. "It's ok! This usually happens when you get bitten and have sensitive hearing, it will be hard at first but it will be easier." Lydia quickly explained. Percy nodded his head furiously and stood up slowly. "Ok, all good now. Let's keep going." Percy said, calming our nerves. Then we set for our maths class.

Percy P.O.V
The whole time I couldn't focus on the teacher. If my ADHD and Dyslexia was bad, sensitive hearing and smelling made it worse. The whole time it felt like everything was on a higher volume and I could smell the salt water from the marine biology department's tropical fish tank. Ok that might be a Poseidon thing, heck I could sense it without the smell, but it's stronger now. Then I heard that retched bell again, it was time for the next class. "Hey Perce. Let's go! We got Marine Biology next, probably your favourite subject!" Leo called to me. "Coming!" I called back. "Oh and Leo, I need you to do a favour for me." "Sure! What's up bro?" He asked. "I need you to make me a trident. I know very original of me to think of but I think it would be fitting, I'll need some silver on it, just in case Lycan has backup, but the rest needs to be celestial bronze." I tell him. "Percy that's no problem for the McShizzle! Of course I'll make that! It should take me a couple of days." He exclaimed. I thank him and we continue down the hallway to the marine biology lab.

As soon as we entered the room all of the fish immediately started talking to me in my head. "My lord! Welcome!"  They all said at once, then just started to all ask me why I seem different but I shrugged them off, not wanting them to get overexcited. "Please be quiet I promise I'll talk to you guys later!" I whisper to myself, but stiles heard me. "What's wrong perce?" He asked worried. "Oh it's nothing, the fish just want to talk to me. Don't worry it's not a siren thing, it's always been a Poseidon thing." I quickly explained. He nodded in understanding and we got to our seats. "Hey seaweed brain. How are you holding up?" Annabeth asked me. I smiled at the nickname "I'm holding up ok, I know I'll be ok soon." I told her. I quickly kiss her on the cheek and all of the girls groaned in the class, like they wished I was single or something. I laughed lightly and continued with the class.

After the first few classes we all had our free period. All of the seven and the pack decided to go out to the back area, where the lacrosse games are held. "Ok now that we are all here, let's talk about how we can take down Lycan." Malia said. "We should talk about that but how do we know it's just Lycan? There could be way more of his lackeys out there." Lydia added. "We could always track them." Scott said. "No way dude! That would put their suspicions on us immediately!" Stiles cried. "Yeah! And plus lycan knows I was bitten, he would immediately suspect me so I also say no." I added. "What do you mean 'no'?" Scott implied "I mean no! You wanna hear it in Spanish? ✨no✨" stiles and I said at the same time. We both pointed at each other than high fived.  Ah it's nice to know that there's another sarcasm using person here. As we were talking about ways to figure out more about the situation I heard something. "Um guys? I just heard something coming from the forest." I said cautiously. The wolves nodded in agreement, saying they heard it too. "Ok, guess we're gonna be a little bit, we are lucky that this free period is at the end of the day and have no other classes after this." Jason said. We all got ready to enter to woods. The wolves got claws out, I got my webbed hands out, the rest of the seven readied their weapons. "Let's go, and stay together, we don't want anyone else getting bitten or scratched." Scott said encouragingly. We all nodded and headed towards the mouth of the woods.
