Chapter 4 - The new prophecy

Percy P.O.V
"Um sorry to interrupt this awesome little lesson but Percy, someone's trying to contact you." Stiles said with slight urgency. We both turned to see an iris message shimmering, waiting to be answered. I quickly got rid of my siren features and webbed hands, Scott the same with his Wolf features and claws. I waved my hand to answer the iris message and shimmered into view were my friends, the seven. "Hey guys, is everything ok?" I ask them. "Percy! Did it happen yet? Are you ok? What are you?" All of them said at the same time, questions all over the place. "Woah woah slow down! Yeah it happened. After the call with you guys yesterday I called my dad to ask him what would happen. Turns out there's a sort of 'gift' that I would've received when I turned 18 but because of the bite it kickstarted the effects and it became better fit to me since I was bitten." I explained. "Well what is it? Show us bro!!" Jason said maybe a little to enthusiastic, probably to try and cheer me up. "Ok ok! Scott do you mind getting your carpet wet?" I asked, probably a stupid question. "It's no problem, it'll dry anyway." Scott replied. I nod and use my powers to grab a bathtub worth of water. I immediately swirl it around me, incasing myself in a huge water bubble, immediately growing my tail and the rest of my features.

"Oh my gods. Perce your a-" Leo started but I continued "a merman. Yeah. That was the gift I was talking about. But without being incased in water I can just have webbed hands and facial features. That's what I meant by it adapted to the bite." I explained. I sent the water back to the bathroom and dried myself off, leaving my facial features and webbed hands. Standing up I walked over to the iris message to give the seven a clearer view of my face and hands. All of them stared in awe. "Oh wow Percy this is incredible!" Frank spoke up first. "But this also ties into why we called. Rachel spoke another prophecy, and we think that this is apart of it." Annabeth said, worry in her voice.

Anxious I asked what the new prophecy is about. "Well, this is how it goes.

A new danger draws near and close
The son of Poseidon shall change and face foes
In four months time
Shall the monsters pay for their crimes
Wolves and demigods must fight
And save humanity on a full moon night.

That's what the new prophecy said.  We think we will have to come to beacon hills with you. We have told Chiron about this and he agrees. We should be arriving tomorrow." Annabeth finished.
Great, I'm apart of another great prophecy. Sense the sarcasm? Anyway after Annabeth was done explaining, Stiles spoke up "then that means we will all be going to school together. We'd better let the pack know as soon as possible." Scott and I nodded "alright guys, thanks for letting us know. I guess we will see you guys tomorrow!" I say with a wave and swipe my hand through the mist. "Alright, I'd better call Lydia to tell her and the others to meet up at the cliff, where we were yesterday." Stiles said. Again Scott and I nodded in agreement.

Stiles P.O.V
After I called Lydia, Scott, Percy and I all piled into my Jeep and took off for the cliff side again. As we pulled up we saw Lydia, Kira, Malia and Liam, awaiting for our pack meeting. "Hey guys!" Liam called to us as we were stepping out of the car. "What did you guys call the meeting for? Did something happen" Kira asked. "Well, you know that my cousin Percy came to visit." Scott said gesturing to Percy. "Hey." He shyly waved. The others waved back. "Well, yesterday he told us a secret of his own. Percy, are you able to show them?" Percy nodded and looked at the ground. All of the dew on the grass started to float upwards and swirl all around him. "I'm a demigod. My father is Poseidon, god of the seas. To make a long story short, I've been avoiding death left and right since I was twelve and I've literally been to hell and back multiple times. But we just call it the underworld. " Percy quickly explained.

"Oh wow, that's awesome and all but I have a feeling there's something else going on." Liam said. Percy nodded and used the water droplets to create a bubble big enough to wrap around his legs and transformed again. "Woah dude! Your tail nearly took me out! Watch where your swinging that thing!" I exclaimed, Percy laughed and apologised between laughs. "Wait so your a siren? Is it a Poseidon thing or did something happen to turn you into this?" Lydia asked. "Well kinda both. Yesterday after Percy was finished explaining his demigodishness, the first werewolf came. Lycan." Scott elaborated. "Wait wait hold on. The very first werewolf in existence, ever?!" Kira shouts panicked. "Yeah. We fought him but it was weird, as soon as he bit Percy, he just ran off, like he finished the job or something." Scott continued. "And to elaborate on Lydias question, my father said that this" Percy said gesturing to his tail, "was meant to be a gift on my 18th birthday but because of the bite it kickstarted early and caused me to transform back and forth, allowing me to only grow my tail in water, the rest of my features I can will on command on dry land." Percy added on. "Well, are you able to dry yourself and show that you can have just your features?" Malia asked. Percy nodded and dried off and left his webbed hands and features still evident. The pack was just in awe.

"My friends are coming tomorrow, they're called the seven, including myself, we have been through a lot together. They told us about a new prophecy just before we got here. This is how it goes,

Yeah that's how it goes. The second line, the first part at least, had already happened so far, the rest of it needs both this pack and my friends to all work together." Percy recited. "Well, looks like we will all be attending school tomorrow together, we will need to organise something so we can all meet up, either that be during a free period or something like that." Lydia determined. We all nodded in agreement. After a few final goodbyes we went our separate ways. I drove Percy and Scott back to Scott's house and I drove to my house.

As soon as I walked in the door I noticed dad working at the dining table. "Hey dad, what's all this?" I asked curiously. "Well, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the supernatural or not, but we found something, something big." He said in a serious tone. "What is it?" I hesitatingly. "A Wolf sighting, not anything normal looking, it was way bigger." He explained. I stared at the photo in shock. It was Lycan, in his Wolf form, the date scribbled on a post it note on top of the photo scared me even more, it was yesterday, when Percy was bitten. "Dad, sorry to burst your bubble but this is indeed something supernatural. I have more to add on that board of supernatural creatures as well" I said carefully. He looked at me cautiously, well here goes nothing. "Dad do you know anything about Greek Mythology?" I say as I start to explain everything to him.
