Chapter 13 - Training

Stiles P.O.V
I was so tired and worn out from training, all of the demigods taught me how to properly attack, defend and use my smarts (mostly Annabeth taught me how to use my smarts but still) and luckily Percy didn't transform on me so that was good, still didn't have a chance against him either way, he was attacking like a demon with his sword it was nuts. Nonetheless I managed to complete a majority of it during the free period. The bell went and students started to walk around to go to their next class. "We'd better hurry, hide weapons and get festus out of here." I analysed. "Spoken like a true son of Athena." Annabeth praised me. I smile and sheathed my blade again. Leo sent festus home and we all rushed off to class. As we were walking to our classes, Percy wanted to check in on me, to see how I was holding up. "Are you ok? I know that this can be a ton to process in half an hour, believe me." He said sympathetically. "Yeah I think I'm doing ok. Definitely gonna be different but still good for now." I said. He smiled and nodded then we continued walking. When out of nowhere a cheerleader captain and a couple of her lackeys stepped out in front of us. The seven got tense and reached for weapons until the captain started to shake her head. "How unfortunate Perseus, I would have thought you'd learn to be clever by now! It seems that you still need to be taught a lesson." "Percy who are these girls?" I said cautiously. "Kelli, and her gang of Empousa. Basically mismatched vampire ladies." He quickly explained. "Yay you remember me! That's helpful, so now you can plead for your survival as I kill you!" Kelli taunted. "We can't fight them here, there's too many students!" Scott whispered. "It's ok, we can try to lead them to the lacrosse field. I'll need you to come with me Scott. I need all the brute support I need." Percy said. "What about the rest of us? We can help you!" Annabeth whispered back. "It's too dangerous, if there's a reason they are here, it's for me ok? You and the others get to class and make up an excuse for us. If their still here, I'll have Scott call Stiles ok?" Percy quickly said. Annabeth nodded and whispered to Percy "you'd better save me an empousa to kill when you call ok?" He laughed softly and Annabeth ran off to class with me and the others. "Their getting away! Girls, go get them!" I heard Kelli shout as we ran. We are doomed.

Percy P.O.V
"Their getting away! Girls, go get them!" Kelli shouted. "They are not yours to hunt, I'm the one you want." I said, trying to put power into my voice like piper told me about what she does for her charm speak. Kelli stopped in her tracks and looked at me and Scott. "So it's true. Young Perseus Jackson, a hero for Olympus, has become one of the single most powerful creatures in myths. A siren." Kelli said, combating my voice. Scott and I got claws out, further proving her point. "So what? If you couldn't tell I'm not like those terrible looking ones from mythology." I said confidently, pouring in a little more power in my voice. "Certainly not! Your even more special! Your a son of Poseidon, who gained this ability, which states your power!" Kelli continued to say. Now to lead her away from the school. "If your so intrigued, come and get me." I said as Scott and I raced over to the field. "You think this will work Percy? How can we distract her for long enough?" Scott said worried as we ran. "Just long enough for us to kill her and her little gal gang. Luckily for us I have two weapons, my trident and riptide. Scott you take riptide and attack her goons. I'll take care of Kelli." I said. Scott nodded to me. "Their coming. Get ready." I told Scott. He nodded. I uncapped riptide and handed it to Scott. I got my lacrosse stick and searched for the trident activation sequence, then I found a small button which would usually be an extender, but I quickly realised that this must've been the activation button. I quickly pressed it and then the stick got longer, thinner, bronze and where the net would usually be, replaced it was an ocean blue gemstone right in the middle of three prongs of sharp edges with little caps of silver on the very top. My trident. Luckily there was a little button near the neck of the trident to take off the silver if it's not to harm wolves. I took off the silver and steadied my new weapon as Kelli and her girl group approached us.

"Ah very good choice of weapon Percy. Just like your father." Kelli taunted. Scott readied riptide, awkwardly but readied it nonetheless. Then Kelli and her fellow empousa approached us with great speed, not faster than me and Scott though. We took for our respective girls, Scott went for the two other girls as I charged for Kelli. I swung my trident at Kelli managed to cut her arm but she was barely phased, she growled at me, charging at me to swipe at me but I dodged the attack. I looked over to Scott to see he was doing good and managed to kill one of Kelli's minions, exploding her to dust, and was advancing on the other one, unfortunately Kelli noticed and charged for Scott, I had no choice but I started to sing. I saw scott had pulled some earplugs from his pocket and stuck them in his ears before we started fighting, probably aware that I would have to sing at one point, so I continued to pour more and more power into my voice as much as possible. Kelli was fighting back as I was singing but she started to soften her blows, she was almost done, but she had begun to regain control and her attacks were getting stronger than the last, but of course the situation had to get worse. "Percy! You need to be careful! Your starting to shift!" I heard Scott shout from across the field. I touched my face and I felt scales and my ears felt pointy yet smooth, my ear fins. Scott was right, I had to be extra careful not to fully shift, so instead I stopped singing and starting to fight with my trident again. I saw scott was struggling to kill the other empousa so I channelled my water control to find the water from the nearby river and managed to bring a pool sized bubble of water towards me and completely engulf both Kelli and her minion, leaving me and scott dry. Scott and I were back to back and out of options as a very wet but very bloodthirsty pair of empousa were approaching us, "Percy we need backup! We can't kill these guys without help! I can try to howl to get the other's attention like a distress call or something!" Scott suggested. "That's good but what if it doesn't work right? I can try to sing a distress song just in case!" I said. Without a decision made, we just did both, not realising we had shifted as I sang and Scott howled, a huge blast had engulfed the two empousa and Kelli's minion had burst into dust but Kelli was dazed.

Scott and I stared at eachother in shock. "What in the hades just happened?!" I shouted. "I have no idea but I thought it was pretty cool! Scary but cool." Scott replied. "oh you two have no idea how powerful you are together, individually you are great, but together you are unstoppable! This is what Lycan had meant after all." Kelli announced. Scott and I looked at each other confused, but in a mix of that, was worry. How had she known that lycan was here and looking for us? "What does that mean? Did lycan send you?!" I said. "Hahaha!! Oh Perseus you cutie pie! Like I would tell you!" She said. I was about to charge with my trident when all of a sudden a blade stuck out of her gut as she exploded into dust, Annabeth wielding her drakon bone sword behind the cloud of dust. "Thanks for saving me one, and we got your call." She said. We saw that the windows of some nearby classrooms had exploded. "Woah. Did we do that?" Scott asked. "Yeah, but we have no idea how." Liam said. "I think it's time you guys explained what happened out here." Stiles said. So we began to explain the whole situation to them.
