Chapter 10 - Mysteries

Percy and I approached the door to Derek's loft, as we went to open it, the door just opened on its own and Liam pulled us inside and greeted us. "Thank god you guys got back, what happened??" He asked curiously. "First I should apologise, for what happened at the school and then running off." Percy sheepishly said. "It's ok bro! It's not a problem. But anyways, where did you go?" Jason told him. Percy flashed him a small smile and continued to tell the story. "After I went to the bottom of the pool, I willed myself dry, just incase someone would have seen me. Anyways after contemplating life, my dad showed up. He gave me some pretty good advice and a scary warning." "What advice was it? But most importantly, what warning was it?" Lydia asked. "If it's a warning from the gods, especially one of the most powerful ones, that cannot be a good warning." Annabeth added. "Well for the advice part, he basically told me that I can do way more with my singing than what we initially thought, I'll get to that in a bit. As for the warning part, he said that Scott and I could be connected, in more ways than one." Percy explained. "In what other ways? You two are already cousins, wouldn't that mean Scott has some form of godly essence in him? Like Frank is related to Percy in one way?" Jason added. "I don't think so, and for Frank it goes wayyy back. So if that was true it wouldn't really do much." Percy said. "Makes sense, I'm only one of the many descendants of Neptune from my family. Well, Poseidon, whichever godly form you prefer to call him." Frank added. "But what about the ability part?" Leo wondered.

"Right. For that, we will need to have some back up proof. Ready perce?" I said. Percy nodded and we shifted. And just as proven, the carbon copies of the tattoos appeared. "Oh my gods...how did this happen?" Piper said. "We aren't sure, I helped Percy out of the pool, as he was in his siren form, after seeing his dad he must of shifted. Anyways, as I helped him out we both recoiled back because of a pain in our arms." I explained as we both showed our arms. "So Percy tried to sing the pain away and it worked. So then we just concluded that was one of his abilities." I explained. "They're identical. And your sure you don't know how this happened?" Derek examined our tattoos. We both shook our heads. "Peter? What do you make of this?" "Well, I'm not very knowledgeable on this sort of thing, but I do know one thing. These tattoos are kind of like a calling card for each other. If either of you are in any type of danger, you can call out the persons name whilst touching the tattoo copy and they will get the signal. The other abilities that this could hold are remained a secret, even from me." Peter analysed.

"So it must work like an empathy link in that way." Annabeth said. "Ok what in the hell is an empathy link and oh did I say this? What the hell is that?" Stiles said slightly panicked. "It's ok! It's just a mental thing that some saytrs can do for demigods. They can connect with us in our dreams, and sometimes if we desperately need them, we can call on them whilst awake." Annabeth quickly explained. "The catch being if one dies the other will too. Or could survive in a vegetative state. My friend Grover and I used it during a few of my quests." Percy said. "Yes, so this must be another reason why Lycan would want you to join his pack Percy. You and Scott could offer him a great deal of power." Peter said, smirking a little. God he was irritating. "Well for now that can be a theory until we figure out how to take care of Lycan. If anyone has any updates let us know immediately." Derek added, slightly irritated. We all nodded as we all said our goodbyes and went to leave, all of a sudden Percy stops me. "Hey man, do you mind if you wait for me outside? I wanna talk to Annabeth before we leave." He said. "Of course bro, it's no problem, I'll wait by my bike for you." I said understandingly. He quickly hugged me in thanks and then I turned to leave and waited outside.

Annabeth P.O.V
I was sitting by a wall, waiting for the meeting to be over, just thinking about all of the events that transpired earlier. Percy's siren song possessing everyone in the school, him and Scott getting a sort of connection, it's all so tangled in a web of confusion I can't unravel, at least not yet. Once Derek summed up the meeting, I started to get up but then Percy started to walk over. I slumped back down waiting for him to come. "Hey wise girl. Is everything ok?"
