Today was my birthday, but I wasn't extremely excited or anything. In fact, I would rather miss my birthday and just sleep instead. "Wake up sleepy head!" my little brother Leo yelled as he jumped up and down on my bed. I rolled onto my stomach and threw my pillow on top of my head, "Go away Leo!" I groaned. "Mum, Dad! Y/N's moody again!" Leo screamed at the top of his lungs; I swear he could be heard from the other side of the world; he was that loud.

Mum and Dad appeared by my side, "What's wrong sweety" my Mum asked kindly as she perched herself on the edge of my bed. My Dad tugged the pillow away from my head and stroked my hair, "Talk to us Y/N" he said gently.

I finally sat up and looked at each of them, "Nothing I just don't want to turn 16" I mumbled. According to my Mum and dad's expression it was obvious they could see through my lies. "I'm going to make Y/F/B!" My mum Exclaimed, trying to cheer me up. I didn't feel hungry, but I agreed anyway.

My Dad told me he had to run some 'errands' later, so he went downstairs to talk to my mum about whatever the surprise was "Dad's getting something for my birthday, isn't he?" I asked my brother; he was so naïve I'm sure I could get it out of him. "Yes, but I will not spoil your birthday" he stated, giving me a quick hug, and following dad downstairs.

"It's Noah isn't it" My mum said as she walked into my room and set down some breakfast on my bedside table. My cheeks flushed pink, "no" I lied. My mum sighed, "Look honey, he's busy filming today but I am sure he will call you" My Mum said in a reassuring tone. "I want to speak to him in person! Not on the phone" I shouted, falling back against my pillow. "I know" she said, but there was something in the way she said that she almost laughed.

What the hell

My boyfriend, Noah, has been filming all week and he sadly can't make it to see me. Ever since we started dating, 3 years ago, he has never missed my birthday. So, Yea, I'm not going to lie I'm upset.

I said thanks to my mum for making breakfast but then ate in my room, alone. After I had finished, I got ready in my birthday outfit and reluctantly headed downstairs. Dad and Leo were whispering but when they saw me dad gestured for me to join them on the sofa, "Time for presents!" My dad smiled. "Open mine first!" Leo shouted, shoving a bright pink box in my hands. I smiled gently and opened it, "Thanks" I said quietly. He had got me weird colourful socks and a necklace; he was a strange kid. My Dad and Mum passed me their joint present which was what I had always wanted a Y/C. I Smiled brightly and pulled them both into a tight hug, "thank you!" I exclaimed.

When presents were finished, I sat on the sofa with my brother watching a movie, "ring" went my phone. It fell of the sofa, and I literally threw myself at it. Once I picked it up and saw the screen, my face flushed crimson. "According to that reaction, I think I know who it is" My Dad mocked. I rolled my eyes and ran as fast as I could up to my room. I slammed the door shut and plonked myself on my newly made bed, pressing the answer button quickly.

"Hey! Happy Birthday love!" He squealed, but even the sound of his voice sent shivers down my spine. I missed him so much. "Thanks, I miss you" I said breathlessly. Noah sighed sadly before saying, "Same". I heard a weird sound of harsh winds and beeps, as if he were on a plane. "Where are you?" I asked carefully. "Just on set" Noah said, but I could tell when he was lying. I shrugged it off, "I'm really sorry I couldn't make it Y/N" he said sweetly. "It's okay" I lied. "I can't give you your present" he groaned, "It's fine" I mumbled. "I will see you soon though, okay. Promise!" He said calmly, "Ok" I replied. Noah never broke promises. "I love you" he said in a rough tone, that made my stomach flip and turn. "I love you more" I giggled, I herd Noah laugh and then reply "Sorry again Y/N, I have to go! Have the best birthday ever, you deserve the world" he exclaimed. But before I could ask him what day I would see him he ended the call.

Strange

I went back downstairs and sat on the sofa again, "I love you more" My Brother mocked in a high-pitched tone whilst he imitated kissing sounds. I smacked him playfully, "shut up" I sighed. "You were eavesdropping!" I yelled, frowning at him. He laughed and ran around the sofa, "You're so dead" I shouted as I chased him around. "Cut it out guys" My Dad said. "Leo, we need to go and fetch y/n's surprise. Don't we" My dad said, taking my little brother's hand and guiding him to the door. He nodded excitably, "we will be back in five" my dad said.

Noah's Pov

It was my girl's sweet sixteenth today and I agreed with the Duffers that I could take a day off filming and visit her, however she lived 5 hours away. So, I would reach her in the afternoon, I agreed with her parents that we would keep it a surprise. But I am kind of worried I blew my cover when I called her, she asked where I was.

Anyway, I have just walked out into the arrivals area to be greeted with familiar faces. "Hey Noah!" Leo screamed, he ran towards me and threw his arms around my waist I picked him up and hugged him tightly, "hey buddy" I chuckled. I love this kid, we used to play video games together all the time, it's nice to finally see him. I placed him down and hugged Y/N's dad gently, "Thanks for doing this" I said kindly, "no problem son" Her dad smiled.

We all walked out the airport and sat in the car, I sat in the passenger seat whilst Leo was in the back. "So how is she?" I asked Leo as I ruffled his hair, "She really misses you. She's been moody all morning" The kid giggled. This sort of broke my heat. "She really has" Y/N's dad confirmed. "What did you get Y/N!" Leo asked, "I got her flowers, a teddy, chocolates and one of my hoodies" I said, feeling heat flush through my skin. "Right charmer aren't you" her dad chuckled, I blushed and coughed slightly. "How are you buddy?" I asked Leo, trying to change the subject. Leo laughed "Good".

I nodded slowly, "I really want to kiss her" I think to myself, unaware of the fact I said that out loud. Leo burst out laughing, and Y/N's dad chuckled lightly. My eyes widened slightly, "Did I say that out loud" I whispered. Leo giggled, "Yea!" and started imitating kissing sounds. Pouting his lips towards me, I smiled awkwardly. "Right Noah were nearly there so put some lip balm on" Y/N's dad teased, making me slouch further down my seat in shame.

Y/n pov

Me and my Mum were watching my favourite movie until I heard the doorbell ring. She paused the movie, "Why don't you get that sweetie" she said with a kind smile. I raised an eyebrow as my mum ushered me to the door. "You know I hate surprises" I groaned as I opened the door, "I think you'll like this one" a familiar voice said. My eyes widened and I gasped when I saw who the voice came from.

A tall, fluffy haired boy. "Noah!" I said breathlessly, throwing my hand over my mouth. I laughed brightly as happy tears began to fill my eyes. I threw my arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me tightly. I muffled my head into the crook of his neck as he stroked my head softly. "Get inside guys" My dad laughed.

Noah carried me inside, bridal style and placed me down on the sofa. I could hardly breathe I was that happy, we just stared at each other. Sort of in a trance. My cheeks hurt from how long I had been smiling for, but I couldn't stop, we hugged each other again. "How did you even-" I began to say, Noah shook his head "It dosen't matter, happy Birthday baby" Noah exclaimed whilst he passed me a hamper basket full of gifts. "Noah, you didn't have to. You being here is my present" I giggled, he shrugged his shoulders and grinned. I looked through the gifts, "I love them all, thank you!" I said happily. "You deserve it" he said, kissing me gently on my cheek.

I blushed awkwardly, "I love you" I whispered, "I love you too" Noah smiled. He smirked as he leaned in and pulled me closer to him by my waist. He kissed me softly whilst I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back. It was a short but loving kiss, "Eww Gross!" Leo yelled. He threw his hands over his eyes. At that me and Noah pulled away and laughed, I leaned my forehead on his and grinned. Butterflies lingered in my stomach whilst Noah intertwined our hands, for the rest of my birthday me and Noah cuddled whilst watching Stranger Things.
