"Have you got everything?" I shouted as I ran towards my boyfriend's car, "Noah?" I shouted again when I heard something heavy fall. "I'm good!" He yelled. I walked around to the open boot of the car to see Noah tangled in a tent, "What the hell!" I laughed. Noah looked up at me and rolled his eyes, "I tried to fold it, but I just folded myself in it" He muttered whilst tugging on the tent. I giggled, before reaching towards him and helping pull him out. He fell out of the boot and into my arms, he stood up awkwardly and gave me a light kiss on my cheek. "Thanks, now we should get going soon" He said, I nodded happily and grasped his hand "let's go!".

We were going on our annual couple camping trip and I am so excited. The drive normally takes a few hours, so we headed off super early in the morning and packed tonnes of food. "So, is it time for the new playlist?" I asked with wide eyes, Noah glances at me and smirks "its supposed to be a surprise" he says. I roll my eyes, "we've been going on this trip for four years straight and how many new playlists have you made?" I tease. Noah chuckles, "five". I nod happily when he points to his phone, I go on his Spotify to see the new playlist. Every camping trip Noah has made us a playlist which reflects our memories, I loved it so much the first time that it has become a tradition.

Noah keeps his eyes on the road whilst he grabs my hand and sings along to the playlist. We both scream the words at the top of our lungs as wind caresses our faces, "why did you roll the roof down it's cold" I say, Noah shouts over the harsh winds and music "It's relaxing". I raise my eyebrow at him, "fine I broke the button" he says. I giggle slightly as I turn the volume of the music up. We spend the rest of the journey singing along to the lyrics and watching the sun rise.

Time skip

It's around about lunchtime and we have managed to set up the tent, "finally!" I sigh. Noah laughs, "I forgot how hard it was to set that up". We grab our rucksacks from the tent and begin walking away from our site, "so shall we hike to the waterfall like usual" Noah asks. I nod enthusiastically, "Yeah! Have you got your swimming costume?" I ask, Noah nods "yep!" as he signals to his swimming trunks. I frown, "you've been wearing them this whole time" I say, he nods "yeah it's easier as there's nowhere to change".

The hike to the waterfall takes an hour but the walk was beautiful. The birds whistled excitably as the sun shone through the trees, casting a gold shimmer on us. The sky was bright blue, and the trees were as high as skyscrapers, the whole forest was magical. With every step I took I began to feel happier and calmer, this place felt like heaven.

"Wow" I gasp, Noah intertwines our hands and smiles "No matter how many times we come here this will never not surprise me" he says. I look at him and grin before exclaiming, "come on!" whilst tugging on his arm and pulling him down some wooden steps.

We make it to the bottom of the step and are met with a pool of crystal-clear water, I smile as I see mine and Noah's reflections cast on the surface. I smile gently as I crouch down and skim my hand through the water, the water glistens magical as I watch our reflections morph.

"We need to change" I say, Noah nods as we walk around the small gorge to the waterfall. Noah chuckles as he runs behind the waterfall and sticks his tongue out, I laugh as I see him through the water. "There's a cave through here baby, you can change in" He yells, I run behind the waterfall to meet him. "Okay" I say as I walk into the dark cave and pull my swimming costume out my bag, Noah hands me a flashlight. He steps out behind the waterfall to give me some privacy, once I'm changed, I walk back into the light.

I squint and shield my eyes from the sun, "god it's hot" I groan. "Yeah, I know right, I set up the chairs by the way. You ready?" Noah asks. We walk to the edge of the water before I put my hand in front of Noah, "aren't you going to take your shirt of?" I ask. Noah smirks, I just glare at him and shake my head "you don't want to ruin it, that's all" I mutter. He grins before taking his shirt off and throwing it on the chair. My breath hitches as I catch a look at his abs, Noah laughs "hey, eyes up here". I blush slightly and mutter, "come on let's go".

"On three, one two three!" Noah yells as we jump hand in hand into the water. We both swim up to the surface and breathe in deeply, water flows down our faces and clings onto my eyelashes. "Ah it's so cold!" I squeal, Noah swims towards me and wraps his arms around my waist to pull me closer to him.

"Better?" He smirks as he lays his chin onto of my head, I nod slowly and nuzzle my face into the crook of his neck. He kisses the top of my head and pulls away, we both swim towards the waterfall.

I skim my hands through the plummeting water and shriek when it sprays back at me, Noah laughs and cups some water in his hands and chucks it at me. I narrow my eyes at him and haul some water in his direction, he squeals loudly and swims away. Before we know it were in a water fight, we're laughing loudly as we try and throw more water on each other. I smile brightly and swim towards him and loop my arms around his neck, he grins and pulls me closer towards him by my waist. He leans in and connects our lips softly; I smile into the kiss and play with the ends of his soft brown hair. We pull away and rest our fore heads together, the kiss was short but loving.

Time skip

Were back at the camp site, all dried and in our pyjamas. Noah set the barbeque up and cooked us both burgers, we ate them silently and listened to the choir of birds which whistled and chittered continuously.

Once we finished eating, we pulled the sleeping bags from the tent and onto the grass. We laid down and stared up at the night sky, the sky had turned dark, and the stars glowed brightly like gems. "That's the big dipper" Noah exclaimed as he grabbed my arm and moved it in the direction of the constellation. I stared at the constellation and traced its shape with my eyes, it was just as beautiful as always. Me and Noah always go stargazing on our camping trips and it's honestly my favourite part, it's so peaceful and I love hearing him talk about the stars.

I smile and turn to him; he did the same and our eyes locked. I blushed and looked back up at the sky, Noah combed a piece of my hair behind my ear and grinned "I love you". I pursed my lips to hold back my smile, "I love you too" I said as a grin broke free from my lips. I felt butterflies in my stomach and then leaned my head on his chest, soon enough we were both fast asleep.
