It was very rare for her to be this tired but she still went to work anyway knowing that Akutagawa would be dissapointed if she didn't. Higuchi sighed and put her things down. Once she was ready for whatever the mafia wanted them to do today , Akutagawa had orderd her to come for a meeting with the boss.
"Oi , Higuchi! We're going to be late!" Akutagawa shouted , hiding the fact that he was genuinly concerned about her after he noticed that she wasn't her usual self the moment she walked through the door. "Yes , Akutagawa-senpai." She said and followed him out the door.
As they continued towards the boss's office , it was harder for Higuchi to hide how tired she was , as she was alot slower than ususal and she was constantly trying to stay awake.
They weren't even half way there , when it happend. The tiredness took over as she fell to the floor. The sound alerted Akutagawa as he stopped. He wouldn't admit it but seeing Higuchi in this state shocked him. He quickly ran over to her and held he in his arms , to find she was completely passed out.
"Fuck." This wasn't what he was expecting to happen. He looked down at her and back at the direction they came from.Akutagawa then held her closer as he stood up and went back to his own office. Mori and that dumb meeting can wait.
Once they were back in his own office , he carefully placed her down and thought of what to do. He took off his coat and placed it over Higuchi so it could act like a blanket. He hated the feeling he felt whevever he wasn't wearing it but Higuchi was way more important than him.
As he was busy making sure she was ok , what he didn't notice was that , she was slowly regaining her consciousness.

This all felt like a dream. Higuchi was now conscious but was still too tired to do anything. She felt like she wasn't able to do anything. She feared that she was once again a failiure and a dissapointment for Akutagawa. As she was slowly regainig her energy , she felt a heavy weight on her.
She slowly opened her eyes , to see something black which looked like Akutagawa's coat. Suprised she realised that they weren't at the meeting with the boss but still in the office. Confused she stared in to space , trying to remember what happend as she was sure they had left this room awhile ago.
"You're .... awake." She heard a voice say. She tried to sit up to see if it really was who she thought it was but was pushed back down. Higuchi blinked suprised at his actions. She wasn't sure if he was actually caring for her or if it was because he wanted her to get straight back to work. Either way she didn't mind as she was with him.
"H-how long , ?" She asked scared that she was annoying him. Akutagawa looked at her and said "Almost an hour" Higuchi sighed. They were already behind because of her.
"The meeting can wait." Akutagawa said bringing Higuchi out of her thoughts. She wanted to quickly sit up but didnt have the energy to do so. "Get some sleep now." He said , but it sounded more like a warning.
"B- but what about ...." She said trying to get up. Akutagawa was infront of her and trying to push her back down. "No. This is an order!" He yelled. Higuchi blinked. "Get some rest. You need it!" He turned away from her as he suddenly found the floor really interesting to look at.
Higuchi decided to listen to him despite the fact that she didn't want to sleep. She immideatly went to sleep as she held Akutagawa's coat closer to her.
Speaking of Akutagawa he , looked back at Higuchi now knowing that she was asleep. He watched her suddenly finding himself feeling something other than disgust and hatred towards her. He looked at her sleeping face with a small smile , this new feelings towards her were different but a good kind of different.
And he liked it.
