Kunikida was busy thinking about something. But this time it wasn't about work which was suprising since thats one of the things he usually thinks about alot.
The thing is he had just recently found out something about himself. Something he thought he wouldn't be. He had recently found that he was actually nonbinary.
It had been a few weeks or so since he realised that about himself and he had put off telling others untill he was right about it and since he was all that was left to do was to tell everyone at the agencey.
So with that he took out his phone and started to send a text to the agencey group chat which was unlike him since he very rarely uses the group chats.
Group chat
bandaged idiot: I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGATTI 🕺💃🕺
im a tiger: good for you
the best detective: stop using dead memes in chat
bandaged idiot: never
kunikida: Theres something I want to tell you guys
im a tiger: what is it?
kunikida: Its better for me to say in person
bandaged idiot: kunikidaaaa whats wrong
kunikida: Theres nothing wrong Dazai
bandaged idiot: if you say so
After that he put the phone down and decided to finish the remaining bits of work that he never got to finish. Soon enough the next day came by quickly much to his dissapointment.
So with that he decided to get ready for work and leave for the agencey. Once he arrived he got to work. Not long after that everyone else started to arrive at the agencey.
The first person to come up to him was Dazai and he was suprisingly not late for once but that didn't mean he was going to start working anytime soon.
"Hey Kunikida." He said. "Remember what you said in chat last night?"
"Oh that." Kunikida said. "It would be better if I could tell everyone in my own time."
That conversation had ended there and Dazai didn't push any further. He realised that it must have been something important if Kunikida didn't want anyone trying to force it out of him.
A few hours later and everyone was on their break. Since there was time it meant that now was the time for Kunikida to tell them.
"I think its time that I told you all now." Kunikida started to say once everyone was all ready to listen to him. Everyone stared as they waited for whatever it was that Kunikida wanted to say to them.
"I have recently found out something about myself." Kunikida started to say. "And that is that I'm nonbinary." He finished and refused to look at them as he suddenly felt like he was going to regret telling them.
"Its ok Kunikida. We accept you." Atsushi said. He was the first to react. And the fact that Atsushi still accepted him despite the fact that he just told them that he was nonbinary was quite surpising considering that alot of the people he knew before the agencey were quite openly homophobic.
He however didn't really know if that would be the case with the agencey but it looks like it wasn't considering that they hadn't said it was wrong or anything like that.
"Yeah , its cool with us." Ranpo said.
"And if anyone says its bad we will sort them out." Yosano said.
"Most of us here are in the community too." Atsushi said. "Oh i forgot to ask ... are your pronouns still the same as before or not?" He asked.
Now that was a shocking fact Kunikida now found out. It was nice knowing that he was going to be accepted by the agencey instead of the not so nice comments that hes heard in the past.
"Thanks. I didn't know if it was safe to tell you." Kunikida said. "And my pronouns are still the same."
Dazai was the next person to speak up. "Whoever told you that being part of the community is wrong. Don't let them say that to you."
"Ok. I won't." Kunikida said.
And with that the conversation had ended there and they all went back to whatever it was they were doing and Kunikida went back to do the rest of his work that needed to be done.
Kunikia felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off him after telling them. And it also made him feel good about himself especially after they accepted him.
