It was quite late at night and it was really raining hard and the loud bangs and cracks of thunder and lightning broke through the silence of the night.
During this night , Akutagawa had finished his last mission for the day and was allowed to leave the mafia headquaters for the rest of the night. Since then he hadn't heard anything from Atsushi not even a text or a phone call.
Akutagawa grew increasingly concerned for Atsushi much to his suprise and took it upon himself to find him. The first thing he did was let his sister know he was leaving and left to go find the weretiger despite the terrible weather conditions.
Now that he was stood out in the cold rain he took out his phone again and decided that this time he was to send a message to Atsushi. After that and still no response from Atsushi at all , Akutagawa then headed to where Atsushi lived.
It was a long walk but he finally arrived. He stood outside the apartment door and knocked on it only to find no response or hear any movement. Akutagawa then noticed that the door was unlocked so he walked in.
The first thing he noticed was that Kyouka was nowhere in sight which just left the weretiger.
"Jinko?" He tried calling for him but there was no answer and then a loud bang of thunder sounded throughout the room followed by a quick flash.
He made his way to where he figured Atsushi would he and soon enough he found the weretiger hiding under the covers.
"Atsushi." He said seeing if the use of his actual name would work and it did.
Upon hearing the sound of Akutagawa's voice Atsushi moved from under the covers suprised to see Akutagawa was standing pratically infront of him.
"Why are you hiding like that?" He said as he watched. It wasn't untill another loud bang and flash of light appearing that Akutagawa realised what was happening.
So with that he moved to sit with the weretiger who was currently trying not to hide away from the thunderstorm that was still raging on outside.
"Akutagawa?" Atsushi had managed to say , suprised to see him there. "Just be quiet " Akutagawa said as he moved to sit on the bed. Much to Atsushi's suprise , the next thing Akutagawa did was put his arm around him.
Atsushi hadn't expected that from Akutagawa of all people. But he supposed it was nice to know that there was someone who cared this time round.
After a while it seemed like things were calming down and Atsushi was no longer shaking as much.
"You ok now?" Akutagawa asked noticing that Atsushi was starting to be much calmer than he was before. "I think so." Atsushi said. "Thanks , Akutagawa."
"Yeah , " He said. "Just get some rest. You look like you need it." Atsushi had realised that he was tired and decided to listen to Akutagawa for once and with that he leaned back onto the bed and went to sleep.
Akutagawa watched as Atsushi had finally fallen asleep knowing that the thunder and lightning had stopped and won't be comming back for a long time yet.
He then sent a quick text to Gin saying that he was staying the night and put the phone down. After that it was silent in the apartment that was untill Kyouka came back from whatever it was she was doing.
Akutagawa chose to ignore her in favour of making sure Atsushi was alright. Another thing he noticed was that there was less bangs and flashes of lightning going on so that would be a good sign.
