Meeting the avatar

"Yue, where's your sister?" Arnook asked walking up to his daughter "she's in the Spirit Oasis" Yue informed "tell her not to stay there too long, she has bridal practice" the man said before walking off "...does she have to?" Yue asked staring her the his back before walking to the spirit oasis.

"Sister, father has been looking for you" Yue said entering the spirit oasis "I'm tired Yue, everyday bridal practices the man I'm marrying isn't even here, how do you marry someone like that?" The girl asked as she took off her shoes and stepped into the pond with the Tui and La fish "Cordelia your gonna be the wife of the next tribal chief, a lot of people dream for that position" Yue said trying to reassure her sister.

"...you make my situation worse, let's go" Cordelia said picking up her shoe "sorry" Yue apologized as they left the oasis noticing the city in a riot "what's going on?" Cordelia asked as a servant ran past them "it's the avatar, he's returned!" The woman said surprising the two "really? Now I'm interested" Cordelia said calling a water canoe "should we really?" Yue asked "if you want you can come with" Cordelia said getting on the canoe.

"Tonight we celebrate the arrival of our brother and sister from the southern tribe and they have brought with them a very special someone who many of thought disappeared until now, the avatar" Arnook said as the crowd cheered "we also celebrate my two daughters 16th birthday, princess Cordelia and princess Yue are of now marriageable age" he continued as the two twins revealed themselves.

"Thank you father, may the great ocean and moon spirit guide us through these troubling times" Yue said "...any words Cordelia?" Yue asked whispering "non, let's sit" Cordelia said sitting beside her father as the water bending master performed a show.

"Sister do you want to watch the avatar practice his water bending?" Yue asked walking into Cordelia room interrupting her embroidery "I can't, father says I must finish this before I leave my room" Cordelia said with a maid standing beside her "...that's not my sister she's already ran away" Yue said letting out a sigh "what are you talking about?" The servant asked as Cordelia melted "my sister is an embroidery master, she obviously finished and ran away, again" she said before leaving the room.

"Princess Cordelia!" Katara called running up to Cordelia who was wondering around the city "your the friend of the kid avatar, Katara right?" Cordelia asked "yea, I'm glad you remembered me" Katara said "why wouldn't I, your brother was the one trying to 'hit' on my younger sister all night through the banquet" Cordelia said "if you don't mind me asking but, are there seriously no female water benders?" Katara asked.

"They're not it's a rule that women aren't allowed to fight, I personally hate that rule it's not all men that are talented" Cordelia said "I agree that old geezer doesn't wanna teach me waterbending!" Katara whined "he's a stubborn man but he means well, if you wanna learn you can just ask the sea or spirits that's how I learned" Cordelia said before walking away.

Later

"I messed up Cordelia" Yue said barging into Cordelia room in tears "you kissed that boy didn't you? Your so predictable" Cordelia said adjusting her head peace "of course you know" Yue said "if you like just go for it, not my business" Cordelia said pushing Yue out her room. "Hello there you two" Cordelia said walking into the spirit oasis "I love it here, it's beautiful and quiet" she said taking off her shoe and sitting on a bench before soot fell on the ground "this isn't good" she said running out the oasis.

"Get the princess to safely!" The chief said as the warriors prepared for the fire nation "have you lost your mind father? I can not do such things while my people are going through such things" Cordelia said as a guard pushed her away "you'll be queen someday, I can't let anything happen to you" He said.

"How am I supposed to sit still when there's that much commotion going out there" Cordelia said pacing around in the spirit oasis before Yue, Katara and Aang entered the oasis "your here Cordelia" Aang said running towards the grass "good to see that you like the place too" Cordelia said sitting beside him.

"What's Aang doing?" Cordelia asked as she watched him meditate "he's trying to get in contact with the spirit world" Katara responded "is there anything we can do to help?" Yue asked "how about some peace and quiet, come on guys I can hear everything your saying!" Aang said before continuing his meditation "ah" Cordelia said as the feeling some pain in her forehead "what's wrong?" Katara asked "nothing" she replied "how'd you get that gem on your forehead?" Katara asked "for as long as I can remember I've always had it" Cordelia said.

"Should we get help?" Yue asked "no, he's my friend I'm capable of protecting him" Katara said before a voice interrupted her "what's with his face?" Cordelia asked as Yue pulled her away from the scene. "Where's Zuko?" Katara asked waking up "he left" Sokka said flying down by a bison "we've got to go find him" Katara said getting on the bison "come Cordelia" Yue said pulling her towards the bison.

"Do you perhaps know how we're supposed to find the avatar in this blizzard" Cordelia asked as the wind blew her hair "it's Zuko we're talking about, he'll survive which is why we need to find him" Sokka said "...there should be a place not too far from here that can protect them from the weather" Cordelia suggested as Sokka did as told.

"Arg!"cordelia screamed almost falling off the bison "what's wrong?" Yue asked "the spirit in the oasis are in trouble" she said as the moon turned red and Yue also felt a sharp pain "the moon spirit is in trouble" Aang said "we owe the moon spirit our lives, when Cordelia and I were born we were very sick and weak, babies cry when they're born not us but we were born as if we were asleep" Yue started.

"Our healers did everything they could, they told our parents we were gonna die, father pleaded with the spirit to save our lives, that night beneath the full moon he brought us to the oasis and dipped us in the pond" Cordelia added "we opened our eyes and began to cry and they knew we'd live, that's how our mother gave us our names, ever since that day Cordelia has had a stronger connection to the spirits that anyone ever could I don't know if it was because they saved our lives but if something were to happen to the spirits I fear for what will happen to her" Yue said staring at Cordelia who was clenching her chest.

"Cordelia!" Yue screamed as she fell to the ground after admiral Zhao shot the white fish "her life is connected to the spirits" Iroh said taking the fish out the water "it's over" Yue cried before Aang entered the avatar state and mediated with the fish. "You have been touched by the moon spirit, some of its life is in you" Iroh said drawing his attention to yue "yes, your right it gave me life I must give it back for my sisters sake at least" Yue said gently placing Cordelia on the ground as Sokka tried to stop her.

"Ah what happened?" Cordelia asked waking up from the dead "Yue gave her life to save you and the moon spirit" Sokka said sadly "I see" Cordelia said as tears streamed down her eyes.

Later

"Avatar, this is selfish of me to ask but please take my daughter Cordelia on your journey" Arnook said "father!" Cordelia called "it would be best if you go Cordelia, you can learn many things out there and when you come back you can get married and become a suitable queen for the people" Arnook said "we could" Aang interrupted "yea but her hair might be a problem" Sokka said "I can't change my hair color" Cordelia said as the team agreed.
