The library/the desert/ serphants pass

"What's out here?" Sokka asked "A lot, actually. There's hundreds of little ..." toph said before Aang stopped her "Shh! I know you can see underground, but don't ruin the surprise. Just watch" Aang said blowing on his flute as groundhog rose through every note he played "Yeah! I'm putting an orchestra together" he laughed "Orchestra, huh? Well, la-di-da." Sokka said sarcastically "great enthusiasm mr sarcastic" Cordelia said as the group laughed.

Later

"It's quiet boring having to visit a library for a vacation" Cordelia said said as they searched for Wan Shi Tong's Library "don't stress Cordelia, it will be fun" Sokka said seeing through his scope "mhm~" she said before Sokka spotted something in the sand.

"I say you guys go ahead without me" Toph said as the group decided to enter the library "You got something against libraries?" Katara asked "I've held books before. And I gotta tell you, they don't exactly do it for me" toph shrugged as Katara apologized "it's okay, I'll stay out here with her, if you guys see anything interesting tell me" Cordelia said with a smile "you seriously don't have to" Toph said "but if I go, you'll be out here all alone" She said as Toph blushed from embarrassment.

"So do you like flying?" Toph asked as she, Cordelia and Appa sat under the shade of the tower "Of course, I'm more comfortable on the ground where I can see. Well, I don't see the way you do. I feel the vibrations in the ground with my feet. But this sand is so loose and shifty, it makes everything look fuzzy. Not that there's anything wrong with fuzzy" toph continued as appa grunted "you sound crazy" Cordelia said with a laugh.

"Uhm toph, is it just me or is the tower getting smaller?" Cordelia said pointing at the tower "library is sinking!" Toph said running to stop the building before Appa let out a sound warning them of the upcoming visitors "what is it now?!" Toph asked "focus on the tower" Cordelia said in a fighting stance "who's there?" Toph asked "the sand benders from earlier!" Cordelia said using her water to smack the sandbenders away before the sand beneath her sank "Theres to many of them" she said trapped in the sand.

"How could you let them take Appa?! ‌ Why didn't you stop them‌?!" Aang shouted angrily at Toph and Cordelia "I couldn't! The library was sinking! You guys were still inside and" toph said before getting interrupted by Aang "You could've come to get us. I could've saved him!" He shouted "I can hardly feel any vibrations out here. The sandbenders snuck up on me and there wasn't time for" toph said.

"What is your excuse Cordelia?" Sokka asked "...there wasn't enough water for me to bend freely, there was too many of them and my footing was off because of the sand" She said averting eye contact as Aang shouted "I'm gonna go find Appa" Aang said flying off.

"No matter how thirsty you get don't drink any cactus juice" Cordelia said pulling toph by the hand as they walked "thanks for the advice" Katara said "don't worry, I'm sure when it gets dark the place will get colder" Cordelia said pulling Toph under her umbrella "thanks" Toph said.

Time skip

"Uh oh" Cordelia said watching Aang get angry at the sand benders who stole Appa "indeed, he's angry" Sokka said as Aang arrow glowed "what do we do?" Toph asked "just get out of here, run!" Sokka said pulling the two away.

Next few days

"Waterbending bomb! Yeah!" Katara yelled excitedly before jumping into the water causing it to splash on her friends "Sure, five thousand year-old maps from the spirit library. Just splash some water on 'em" Sokka said revealing the wet scrolls "sorry" Katara said bending the water out of them.

"So, did you figure out what route we're going to take?" Aang asked "Okay, we just got out of the desert, so we must be around here. And we need to go to Ba Sing Se, which is here. It looks like the only passage connecting the south to the north is this sliver of land called the Serpent's Pass" Sokka said laying the map downs.

"You sure that's the best way to go?" Toph asked "It's the only way. I mean, it's not like we have Appa to fly us there." Sokka said before Cordelia pinched him "Shush up about Appa. Can't you at least try to be sensitive?" Katara asked "Katara, it's okay. I know I was upset about losing Appa before, but I just want to focus on getting to Ba Sing Se and telling the Earth King about the solar eclipse" Aang said surprising katara "that's good to hear" Cordelia said before a man called out to them.

"So, you guys are headed to Ba Sing Se, too?" Aang asked "Sure are. We're trying to get there before my wife Ying has her baby" the man said "oh my god that's wonderful, congratulations on your baby" Cordelia said happily as she and the pregnant woman giggled "We can travel through the Serpent's Pass together" Katara said "The Serpent's Pass? Only the truly desperate take that deadly route!" The pregnant woman said before Toph punched Sokka.

"You should come with us to Full Moon Bay. Ferries take refugees across the lake. It's the fastest way to Ba Sing Se" the man said "And it's hidden, so the Fire Nation can't find it" the man said "Hmm ... peaceful ferry ride or deadly pass?" katara said placing her hand on her chin "peaceful ferry ride any day" Cordelia said.

"Good job Toph" Cordelia said after Toph got them a ticket "it's the perks for being rich" Toph said as a girl pulled Sokka back "what's wrong?" Cordelia asked "Suki!" Sokka said after the girl kissed him. "You look so different without your makeup! And the new outfit" Katara pointed out "That crabby lady makes all the security guards wear them. And look at you, sleeveless guy. Been working out?" Suki asked "Ahhh, I'll grab a tree branch and do a few chin touches every now and then. Nothing major" Sokka said flexing "...?, oh I see it now" Cordelia said watching Sokka try to impress Suki.

"Are the other Kyoshi Warriors around?" Aang asked "Yeah. After you left Kyoshi, we wanted to find a way to help people. We ended up escorting some refugees and we've been here ever since. Hi, Momo! Good to see you too! So why are you guys getting tickets for the ferry? Wouldn't you just fly across on Appa?" Suki asked disappointing the group.
